He accused me of being a drug abuser then start asking all these dumb questions like when was my last visit. I recently had pneumonia, a sickle cell crisis, and blood clot in my lungs. Also a pulmonary embolism. I been low on my pain medication because I’m a triplet we all have sickle cell and I’m the only one with a pain management doctor so if I go to the er that cause I’m low on medication at home.

After 10 days of constant headaches (for someone who never gets headaches), and 3 previous ER visits with absolutely no relief, Dr. Farino could have dismissed me as a drug seeker, but took the time to review my medical records and accurately diagnosed me with a rare neurological disorder that left untreated, would have resulted in permanent blindness. He took his time to explain his recommendations, follow up care needed, risks, and made sure I was comfortable with the plan. I cannot thank him enough for his patience, compassion, and knowledge when most other physicians would have dismissed me.
