Dr. Lew Barker, MD

Consistently 25 minutes past scheduled appointment. Once, an hour past and I was the 3rd appointment. Prescriptions often wrong with one prescription sent to pharmacy that I never was prescribed or discussed with Dr. Barker. No return calls for 5 weeks. Pharmacy tried multiple times. I was told that there wasn’t any record of call even though I was there when Pharmacy called. I ended up calling someone that I knew in upper management. Then finally received a call from office supervisor. Very rude. Worst Doctor that I have ever had with office staff that is even worse then the Doctor. I have had a few Doctors, all extremely professional with the exception of Dr. Barker. I have had appointments scheduled months ahead canceled 18 hours before set appointment because the office or Doctor wanted a four day weekend. Avoid

He delivered my daughter in 1994. I’d like to talk to him. Best doctor I ever had in my life. She works in hospitals.

Dr. Barker listens to all my concerns. Gives me advice on what medicines to take. Most of all he helped tour my depression when my husband passed. He is a very caring and great family doctor.

When we lived in California we had Dr B as we would call him for many years as our physician. He was probably the most compassionate, listening, kind Dr we have ever had. Always looked for the problem and best way to deal with whatever it was. I believe he had a great influence on finding the best brain surgeon for my wife's aneurysm at UCSF and for that we are eternally grateful. A better Dr you will not find.
