Dr. Leslie Webb In a jungle of healthcare services, it was wonderful to run into a provider who was as patient-focused as she was well-versed not only in her area of focus-interventional cardiology-, but even better at patient-focus. In her hellish daily schedule as ALL specialists face due to the “busineziztation of medicine and consolidation of providers and facilities, she made me feel like there was nothing more important for her to do that day and that hour than attending to my medical needs, concerns, fears and may be even my “hyper-awareness of my symptoms” (some mistake it for hypochondria) She even spread that culture to her support staff, who may otherwise be more susceptible to corporate culture-demands-meeting the “performance criteria”-and don’t have the gravitas to do anything else. I have been to the mountain-top- Clevland Clinic-Number one in the country for Cardio-vascular care-I haven’t found any better!

I am watching an interview with Robin Williams, and I never realized he had a valve replacement. He was a celebrity and only had the choice of porcine, bovine, or mechanical valve replacements. In 2005 Dr Webb insisted that I go to Cleveland Clinic bc of my age. I was 35 and only 6 hospitals in the nation did valve repairs vs replacements. I owe Dr Webb my life. I’m now almost 51 and I have no issues except for occasional bouts of afib...not uncommon for my condition. I’ve had a lot of great years and I think anyone who considers Dr Webb should know she has your best interest at heart and will do right by you- and she is highly skilled.
