Dr. Leon Cohn, MD

i’ve been going to see him for a few years and he was always personable and so was the staff. One thing that bothered me was every time i saw the doctor he had a different staff but i let it go. I had an appointment this past August for a routine visit but since i was having difficulty with my glasses i asked for an eye exam and he was able to do that. He told me after the exam that i had cataracts but it wasn’t anything to be concerned about right now. i left the office and had the prescription filled and it still wasn’t right so i had it filled again somewhere else with the same results. I called his office to schedule another eye exam and the doctor said i had cataracts and needed surgery after telling me that it wasn’t a problem a couple of months earlier. He tried to push a doctor that he recommended who is in Dade county and was a bit angry at me for not scheduling it right then. I left the office and found a highly rated doctor nearby. Very happy, need glasses for fine print

Dr. Cohn is a very pleasant man but that holds zero value when he tells you his office does not participate in any RX authorization requirements that BCBS mandates in order to fill the RX. After 2 office visits, he gave me a 2nd RX as part of my treatment but wouldn't have his staff make the phone call to BCBS to authorize it because it's too time consuming. Needless to say, had to find a new Dr. who agreed to participate in BCBS requirements and start the process over yesterday. So Dr. Cohn is ok with wasting my time, my money and BCBS' money. Noted.

Staff extremely rude especially Nordia...Dr.gives you 2 minutes of time and then the asst comes in while you are seeing him and says next patient waiting...SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UNPROFESSIONAL.All about the money!!

I have been at Dr. Cohen for severe dry eye. The doctor was wonderful, but the administrative staff was terrible, starting with the manager. I needed a "Prior Authorization" sent to my insurance company, and the stuff refused to do so, claiming that it was a courtesy procedure, and that because they were under stuff, they could not it. I asked to speak with the doctor, my eyes are on fire, it feels like I have broken glass in them, still they said he would not talk to me and that he would say the same to me. Finally, they told me to go to another doctor!!!! I wonder if Dr. Cohen is aware of the way his stuff treats their patients. It was extremely unprofessional and the manager was beyond rude. For that reason, I will never go back there.

I had laser surgery done by Dr. Leon Cohn. He was great!! Answered all my questions. The staff was also extremely helpful & professional. I definitely recommend Dr. Leon Cohn.

Dr Cohn led me to believe he did cateract surgery throughout two visits with him. When he ran out of things to charge me for he quickly ushered me out with a referral to another ophthalmologist who could not even meet with me for six weeks. I was told this was the only not doctors who Dr Cohn referred to. When your vision is impaired you want it fixed as quickly as possible. I wasted valuable time and energy on this doctor who I believe was at best misleading and at worst unethical.

Dr. Cohn’s practice is very “patient friendly”. The entire staff is polite and helpful. Dr. Cohn’s easy-going demeanor immediately puts an anxious patient at ease. His exam is thorough as he explains the results while being very patient addressing my health concerns. Dr Cohn adheres to strict sanitation measures that I observed throughout the entire office. My wait time was within 15 minutes after check-in. Shorty after my visit, I received an email summary of my exam results for accurate record keeping. I recommend Dr. Cohn to anyone seeking an experienced and compassionate ophthalmologist.

Broward County's Best in my book. Best staff for the best doctor. Dr Cohn is a genius with a wealth of knowledge and he is very kind. He explains everything to you in a way that is easy to understand. His staff is very friendly and they treat you like family. The Best office in Broward hands down.

Great visit. How could I complain after Dr Cohn told me that I was 10 to 15 years younger than my age!

Dr Cohen is patient and listens to his my every concern whenever I am there. Very knowledgeable, friendly and well worth your time and to care for all your ophthalmology needs. If he can’t do the task you need, Dr Cohen will refer you out to the best in the field without hesitation.

Dr Cohen is very friendly and makes you feel relaxed. The office staff are very polite and courteous.

Dr. Cohn is very efficient and takes the time to explain everything about my eye issues. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction. His staff is very pleasant and thorough.

Dr. Cohn and his staff are awesome!! Dr. Cohn made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions. The office itself is a warm environment with very pleasant music. The office staff was so nice and welcoming; every person that I met made me feel valued sealed with a smile. All this made me feel that my needs  and comfort surpasses ALL. Thank you all for being genuine!!

Dr Cohen has continued to help my surgical eye to heal. He is very thorough and detailed making my confidence stronger and stronger every time I see him. P. Maybin 6/18/19
