I was told there would be no co-pay, but there was. He gave me a needle test in October, by December I had not heard anything regarding the results of the test. My PCP had to contact him for the results. By January, I still had not received a follow-up appointment, or any communication at all. Then, I received a bill for $180 Which I have no intention of paying because of his lack of professionalism.

An inconsiderate person
He made me wait 55 minutes in that small waiting room. Did not say a word of apology when he walked in. He should know that patients are all nervous when waiting for tests/exams to be done.

Dr. G is clever, open-minded, & solutions focused!
I am afflicted with an extremely uncommon syndrome called Dercum's Disease (also described as "Adiposis Dolorosa", which literally means 'Painful Fat') which is constantly agonizing, and progressively debilitating. This fat develops as nodular tumors of intractable fat, which is non-responsive to weight loss. As a result, I am covered with hard, growing tumors throughout my trunk and arms, as well as along my spine, causing neuropathic pain and weakness. It's such an obscure disease that most doctors are completely unfamiliar with it, and even when I've explicitly sent links to medical references to the physician's attention, they seldom have bothered to investigate, and upon meeting with me, most literally discounting my symptoms as unimaginable, and therefore, unreal. Dr. Germin, on the other hand, was interested and intrigued, sending me immediately for necessary testing, and engaging other specialist colleagues to help strategize a surgical plan to resolve my plight! :) <3

Rude
Why my comment was removed??????????????? Condescending, rude, belittling, and on top of all of that he misdiagnosed me and when I tried to see someone else in that office I was denied because they said it was against there policy. Wish I would have looked here before going to this doctor, the negative reviews seem warranted.

Disrespectful / Appalling Behavior
I am completely aware of what he did to me in the exam room. He rudely answered his cell phone twice in the middle of our conversation. He had more than one chaperone in the room which was a disruption and unnecessary. In the middle of our conversation he had another staff member open the door to have a conversation with him about something that supposedly needed his attention. So pathetic that he had to be saved by the lower members of his staff, but from what, doing his job? Working with specialty doctors for 25 years, I’ve seen this tactic used many times. For as hard as I work at trying to improve my health I did not deserve that. I was not wasting his time at all. He ordered his staff members to interrupt my appointment with me so he could get out of the room and the meeting with me as soon as possible. Dr. Germin is condescending with a pompous attitude, no respect, no compassion, no empathy. I don’t know how he lives with himself. Shameful.Unable to finish. Read other reviews

The Dr. really if possible tries to not see you, unless fits into his bubble. He rarely will do the tests himself but other staff does them fine and actually better at communicating and making one feel comfortable. It is a great gift to be so incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable however when arrogance and Ego interfere then maybe better to be consulting instead of working with people. Came to Las Vegas with active treatment plan that was keeping me stable he only needed to over see if things continued to change for the better. But no took me off the medication that was for off label use to help build peripheral nerve endings. 2 yrs waisted when I was at least gaining some more strength to now just lucky not worse but no improvement since then. Changed Drs. For a Neurologist ask yourself why would he have office 50 feet from cell tower! Even if he is there a little while his staff & clients? Because not worth moving costs? Dr for who?

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Germin?
After Dr. Germin explained my MRI results to me (that I have a cyst), I asked him a simple question: "What should I do about the cyst?" He very condescendingly repeated exactly what he said previously about my MRI results (that I have a cyst and how big it is) as if I didn't hear him the first time and said that he can't do anything else for me and that I have to get a referral from my other doctor if I "need anything else from him." All I meant with my question was what should I follow up with: should I go back to my other doctor and what should be my plan? Because he was so frustrated by my very simple question and was very condescending I was so caught off guard that I didn't get any answers. He left right after. That whole interaction lasted about 5 minutes. He refuses to answer questions and is very condescending, especially if you are a young woman.

I saw this joker about 7 years ago. He did all kinds of very expensive nerve conduction tests and said he had good news. I didn’t have MS but I maybe had Lou Gehrig’s disease. He continued to want to do more nerve conduction tests. After the third, and he wanted to do the 4th, that’s when I said bye, bye. I lived with that fear for two years until we saw enough doctors here in the valley to confirm I did not have ALS. He is all about the money and truly doesn’t care about patient care. How he could leave me with the fear of having ALS is beyond me.

Dr Germin cost me my career. This joke of a celebrity doctor in Las Vegas has a life size poster of himself in some of his offices. What a loser. Condescending, rude, belittling, and on top of all of that he misdiagnosed me and wrote a report that ended my career as a pilot and has cost me tens of thousands of dollars trying to rectify to no avail. Second opinions from other neurologists were that there was nothing wrong with me. But the damage was done. Don’t trust this doctor. He’s a quack who only wants to take your money.

Wish I would have looked here before going to this doctor, the negative reviews seem warranted. Dr. Germin was definitely abrupt, dismissive, and condescending in his communication. Obviously, knowledge and experience are important factors when selecting a physician/specialist, but for me, the treatment received and respect we deserve as a paying customer and patient are also important. He made me sound stupid for asking a legitimate question - which I didn't get to really ask because he cut me off mid-sentence. He took the time to draw out a long, sarcastic (and completely unnecessary) example to make his point, but he couldn't take the time to slow down and relay information in a clear, concise way before he left the room after seeing us for maybe 6 or 7 minutes. Will be seeing someone else.

This is one of the worst physicians ever encountered! He doesn’t want to listen to the patients concerns, stops you in the middle of what your trying to explain in a very sarcastic manner, pushes his opinion on you without any respectful communication. He runs numerous tests, and gives very little explanation on the results. If you ask him questions, he gets offended, throws insults at you as if he is extremely superior to the patient. He shows no compassion and acts like he enjoys belittling patients! A good physician educates the patient, not belittles them! The first office visit charge was $1,000 billed to insurance, and never have I experienced such a ridiculous fee, especially for such a short time. Believe me, he isn’t worth a dollar! Don’t waste your time and dollars on this complete disrespecting idiot!

I would not recommend. My husband was involved in an accident. Our Primary care provided a referral. Dr. Germin's office called and would not accept the referral out of concern that this would be a lawsuit, and until they talked to our lawyer. We are currently not involved in a lawsuit....I just wanted to get my hospital evaluated for his head injury and get him better.

I have seen Dr Germin for many years. I first met him when my mom was sick. He was the ONLY neurologist that accurately diagnosed my mom. He then did EVERYTHING he could, to help me try to save my mom's life. In addition, in 2000 my father-in-law died. Before he died, Dr Germin came to the hospital, his own time, and his own dime, to look at my father-in-law for me. He wasn't even his doctor, but did this anyway for us! We were able to make important decisions as a result! I saw him on February 14th, 202, and hadn't seen him sine 2012. He remembered me! He was happy to see me, took detailed notes, and is ordering some tests for me. His front office staff, has a lot to be desired. I trust him with my life, and even out up with his office manager John, who was rude, disrespectful, dismissive of my concerns, and definitely NOT a nice guy.

Germin, is not a Dr who speaks to the patient themself he will speak to who ever is in the room with you if there anyone with you other wise he comes in and goes out! When I was in the room with my roommate, Germin would look at my roommate and flirt with my roommate until I said to Germin, "Do you have a crush on my roommate!" After that was said Germin would finally talk to me. Another problem with Germins office is his "manager" John, is very disrespectful, very rude and will not return calls. So I would never go back to Germin again!!
