Completely unhelpful
Dr. Avedissian was unsympathetic and not helpful in the slightest. She rushed me out of the office and was not interested in hearing about my symptoms or finding a solution. I was later diagnosed with a heart blockage by the next cardiologist who was willing to spend more than 30 seconds listening to me.

Blames your meds
She will have an opinion about you and what’s wrong before she even meets you. Her ego needs to be brought down a notch and maybe actually start listening to the patients concerns without judgement and the lack of interest to further educate herself on things she does not understand. She was full on raising her voice and arguing that meds prescribed by fellow specialists in the last two years are to blame for the heart issues that started 7 years ago. The lack of empathy and compassion is startling. Her assistant was so sweet but she is a nightmare.

Dr. Avedissian refuses to append records where she improperly diagnosed based on patient responses to questions when all tests came back perfect. As such we've lost insurance coverage due to 'pre-existing conditions'. Proper diagnostics comes from tests, not answers to questions. You don't put on a patients record that they have Cancer just because the patient thinks they have cancer. And if you do put that on their record, and tests show negative, have the professionalism to append the record

Dr. Avedissian is a wonderful cardiologist. She was very concerned about my initial condition based upon my symptoms and family history and was able to expedite my tests and surgery. She has been fantastic as far as communication and feedback and is always quick to respond when needed.
