Dr. Leighton Tewes, MD

I’m not sure if it’s him or his office but to me the buck stops with the doc. Five blood labs over two and a half years and three of those times I had to go back to the lab to have blood drawn for the proper tests for me as a patient. I’m tired of it!

This was my first visit with Dr Tewes and most of time was spent going over my medical history but not my current meds. He did examin my two medical problems on my face and recommended a prescription for mupirocin which I tried twice (old and new refill). It did nothing. He did suggest seeing a dermatologist which I did. Before my appointment with the dermatologist, I used an old topical antibiotic which helped considerably. Mupirocin, based on previous experience, seems to be the standardized go to topical. I did talk on the phone after my office visit with a medical person and they wanted me to use the new useless refill. One of the two problems cleared up using the antibiotic I had before my dermatology appointment.

Dr, Tewes cares about his patients and does everything he can to help. He listens to us and give use his best medical advice.

Because of his knowledge and experience with any and all appointments with him have been top rate care!! He always listens and never misses a thing with my over all health. I?ve had him for my primary doctor for many years and hope he doesn?t retire anytime soon!!
