Appointment issues
I was waiting for my appointment for more or less 2 weeks. Today 2 hours before my appointment they called me to reschedule iy, just because the patient before me cancelled and they couldnt wait 30 minutes for me (the scheduled time 2 weeks ago). It was not my fault. It was disrespectful with a patient waiting an explanation about why she got prescribed intravenous Ezomeprazole on the patient's portal.

Angry when I asked questions
I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Katta. I should have read the reviews before doing so. I was scheduled for a procedure and had a lot of questions about it, its cost, questions around my previous diagnosis among other things. I sent multiple questions through the portal to Dr. Katta and she would respond to one question and ignore the rest. After 5-6 attempts to get responses to ALL of my questions, I got a very unprofessional response from her, which looked as if they were dictating it to someone who was typing it for them. She was obviously very angry with my list of simple questions regarding what my original diagnosis was, if they reviewed my previous diagnosis, to elaborate on the procedure and what was involved, what the costs would be because it was not covered by my insurance and if there were alternative options for this procedure. She was very angry with her response when I was looking alternative options because of concerns of cost and the purpose of it.

1st visit to office
Debbie in the front office is great at her job. Very pleasant and welcoming. Dr Katta was incredibly informative and interested in my concerns. Scheduling made a mistake but Debbie was very helpful in resolving the issue. Thank you Debbie and Dr katta.

She still hasn’t returned my call. . I left 3 messages plus stopped by the office. Over a week since my procedure and not a word from her or the office. Office staff said my results were in but she had not read them yet. Not good!

Not patient friendly
I gave Dr Kahta a second try. She was just as rushed as the first time. Almost seemed irritated and felt I wasn’t important at all. I’ll be switching to another GI for future appointments.

Not very touchy-feely
Dr. Katta was 45 minutes late from an early morning appointment time of 9:15am. I wonder how late a late afternoon patient had to wait! Couldn’t give me a diagnosis or answer of why I was having abdominal pain and swelling. Said to take a peppermint supplement! I probably would have gotten better results with a more experienced doctor.

Arrived on time ( a few minutes early) for my 9:30 appointment and proceeded to wait over an hour for Dr. Katta. No one came to update me on how soon she would be in so I went out of my room after 40 minutes and asked. It was 10:10. I was told there was one person in front of me. I shared I needed to leave for a meeting by 10:30 and the nurse acknowledged me. I then waited 20 more minutes and no one came to update me on anything. It was apparent they did not value my time - and I am the paying client. I hoped someone, perhaps Dr. Katta, would reach out and apologize for my inconvenience (and it was an inconvenience as I'd moved a client appointment to get there), but crickets. Nothing. Not even a follow up call to see if I want to schedule with another doctor there. I will not be scheduling any appointments at that practice.

I had an MRI one year ago where they found 2 nodules in my liver. I just had another MRI only to discover she didn’t even check for nodules this time around. Go to another doctor ASAP. Your life could depend on it b

I've been suffering from extreme ibs and stomach issues for years. I was referred to Dr. Katta and felt she wasn't taking my problems seriously. I specifically wanted answers and to run tests, but all she gave me was a laxative when I specifically stated they give me bad reactions. The appointment was rushed too. Find somewhere else if you want to be taken seriously.
