Dr. Layne Kumetz, MD

I don’t understand these negative comments. I’ve seen Dr Kumetz from perimenopause through menopause and have always been amazed by her knowledge and care. I was told at UCLA that menopause care isn’t women’s healthcare. If I have a biopsy she’s called me the next morning before my results are on the hospital site -to tell me I had nothing to worry about. I’ve never had a Dr do this except for her. If I ask, she answers, and if I was still having children I’d be thrilled to have her there. AND she suggests HypnoBirthing so her view of birth is authentic and supportive from the beginning with patients. I usually see her in person or in messages.

I have been going to Dr Kumetz for years and have never been disappointed. I am now pregnant with my first child and take great comfort knowing she is there to guide me through the journey. She is attentive and listens to my fears and does not ever dismiss what I have to say. Great doctor!

Dr. Kumetz is an amazing physician. It's clear that my health and the health of our baby was always her top priority. Working with Dr. K is a collaboration in healthcare, she is patient, attentive, and supportive. When our son was measuring small for his gestational age, she recommended induction and it was 100% the right decision. I was worried before each intervention, but I felt safe knowing they were recommended and monitored by Dr. K. Even though induction was not what I wanted, I had a 10 out of 10 birth experience thanks to Dr. Kumetz. Her team is amazing too. Marlyn, Flora, and Joanne continue to support me past delivery and postpartum. Some may scoff at the fact there is an annual administrative fee, but I would choose Dr. Kumetz in a heartbeat as our OBGYN if we become pregnant again in the future.

Dishonest, incompetent, I don't recommend Kumetz, she was not able to answer my questions, it takes over an hour to see her each time, she has a bad attitude on top of that!

Dr. Kumetz and her staff are above and beyond. This was my first pregnancy and the entire experience and journey with her as my doctor was perfect. They are the definition of professionalism and it is clear they care about each and every one of their patients. By the end of the 9 months, Dr.Kumetz and her staff felt like family to me. I would highly recommmed her to anyone!

I had a difficult pregnancy that was frightening for me to go through. I felt comforted knowing that Dr. Kumetz was spearheading my birth plan. She ensured that my baby girl arrived safely into this world. Dr. Kumetz also happens to be a very gifted surgeon; My cesarian scar healed very quickly and beautifully. Her entire staff is professional, comforting and warm.
