Dr. Lawrence Rosenthal, MD

My daughter was an established patient of Lawrence Rosenthal. When she became very ill—unable to eat, losing weight dangerously fast, and unable to endure the approximate four-hour wait at St. Barnabas’ emergency room—we thought seeking his help would be the logical and compassionate choice. Unfortunately, we were wrong.The response we received was nothing short of dismissive. The front desk staff refused to let us see the doctor, repeating, “The doctor is not an urgent care doctor!” over and over again, both in person and later on the phone to me and my husband. There was no attempt to understand the situation, and certainly no effort to help a patient in need.It was clear that the doctor, and this practice as a whole, views patients as mere appointments on a calendar, not as people in need of care. My daughter didn’t require a lengthy evaluation or extensive tests—she just needed a simple prescription for anti-nausea medication, something any compassionate doctor could provide.

I've Had Several Colonoscopies with Dr. Rosenthal and his staff never a issue always felt I was in good hands.

Such a wonderful experience! Dr. Rosenthal was kind, unhurried, and thorough. He took the time to explain exactly what is currently known about my condition, results of recent studies on it, and prognosis. He presented a plan for carefully monitoring the condition, and scheduled future appointments so we could regularly touch base and assure that I have the most up-to-date information. His staff was delightful, attentive, and competent.

Very nice doctor and great bedside manner. He was very thorough with explaining the procedure and didn’t rush us out. Made sure all our questions were answered the staff was also very pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend him

Very nice staff, Office is very professional. Dr. Rosenthal was very nice and very thorough. He took the time to explain everything and answer all our questions and we were not rushed at all. He took his Time to make sure we were comfortable. Would highly recommend his name and Office!
