He listened to me and figured out what was going on. Because he listened and helped me, I was able to get very needed accommodations at school and my grades went up considerably. I only wish I had started seeing him sooner.

Caring and Thorough
I had a telehealth appointment with Dr. Lacy through the VA. Dr. Lacy was very friendly, kind, and understanding. He was able to help me with some things I've been struggling to get taken care of at the VA for months now. I left the appointment feeling like a huge amount of stress had been taken away from me.

I have seen Dr. Lacey for about a year. Honestly the worst psychiatrist I’ve ever seen. Very monotone, not very sympathetic or caring. He wrote me an RX for my issue and that was all. Other psychiatrists I have worked with didn’t just write me a RX and send me off. They actually cared and worked with me. At one point I lost my insurance and could not afford to continue medication. He said “it’s not that expensive & thats the only advice he could give me.” I’m sure making six figures a year it would be very affordable for him! Too bad I don’t have that luxury. So, I requested a job accommodation- since I could no longer afford medication and I did not want it to affect my job. The form simply asked him to confirm I’m receiving treatment & confirm the restrictions I may have while not taking medication. He refused & simply told me “your medication is not that expensive” his only advice would be to pay out of coverage. Would NOT recommend for someone who is seeking serious treatment.
