Very Very poor chair side manner and poor communication skills. Almost “bothered” to be the doctor.

No , not for me
... was told by his nurse in Feb 2021 that the doctor would call me back about a problem... still waiting for that call in Feb 2022 , even though I have already had emergency surgery last month... If I ever go back to the VA , it will be to see another doctor...

We moved from NC to TN and needed to re establish primary care and specialists through the VA. Our first appointment with Dr HIgh will be our last appointment with him. He had poor bed side manors… does not take the adequate time and seems to rush through appointment even after having to wait over an hour to see him. Rude and abrupt. Did not even read any of the history to try and know more and understand more about my husband’s (veteran) injuries from Afghanistan he has been battling since 2009. He never filled out the handicap placard for the DMV which we brought in and filled out our portion of the application. Having the handicap placard is important and beneficial for my husband due to his back injury and TBI which has caused him to also suffer vertigo memory issues and other on going symptoms. He already had a handicap placard in NC as well. There is no excuse to be forgotten about and to be made feel his issues are not very important to him or would not listen to me.
