Dr Hicks has been my primary care physician for over 20 years. What a wonderful practitioner. Not only does he listen to me, but he engages in dialog with me. We have a great relationship. I trust him with my life which has paid dividends. For example, I went in to a relatively uncomplex issue; however, he quickly determined I had a severe A-fib attack. He and his team went into high gear, got me stable and had me in an ambulance in a very short time. He is truly a life-saver. Upon being discharged from the hospital and going to him for the discharge visit, he asked me about the initial reason I came in! Talented and funny! There are not enough words to thank you, Dr Hicks, for giving my life back to me. Warmest regards, David

Dr. Hicks, thanks for the good advice in taking today and tomorrow off. I was up all last night in the bathroom. I am very tired and weak this morning, really not up to going into work. Sincerely, James Sowers.

I had a physician once who talked with me and listened to what I had to say. I cannot seem to find a doctor with those attributes. Dr. Hicks is a fine doctor with a good demeanor but he talks to you, does not ask you questions, goes mainly but blood test results and does not ask you questions. When he prescribes medication, you understand why but he does not advise you of possible side affects or interactions with other medications. His exams are brief and not very thorough.
