Everything about Dr. McWilliams was excellent. For my allergy testing, it took 4 separate appointments. Each visit was perfect. She has excellent knowledge and skills, above excellent doctor/patient skills, and a great support staff at both Raleigh and Cary offices. What a joy to have a doctor explain test results and your medical situation completely. It was such a pleasure to meet her. I felt like she cared. Thank you Dr. McWilliams.

After many years of occasional severe allergy attacks, I was referred to Dr. McWilliams by my internist. In my mind I knew it would probably be same as all Derm appts. What a surprise! She listened while I explained all my years of severe allergy attacks that warranted emer room visits due to anaphylaxis. Most times I hear "well, you have an epi pen and I'd suggest you continue with what you're doing since it seems to work for you." I explained to Dr. Mc W that my allergy to insect bites are getting more severe as I age. She listened to me, took some test and set up a follow-up appt. Next appt she came in knowing who I was, what I was there for and had options of how to treat this. I couldn't believe I wasn't just a #. Her suggestion was to desensitize the effects of venom. What are now severe life threatening attacks should become minor events in my life. I am so glad I am a patient of hers. She is kind, knowledgeable and cares about her patients. She's the BEST.

My first appointment had a bit of a wait while in the exam room! But when she walked in, her attention was on me 100%, she got my detailed history, did tests, figured it out, and asked "do you understand?". (I did!) 3 months later I come back for followup. She remembered my exact case in detail without looking at the chart. I mentioned migraines, she looked me in the eyes, and said "I'm sorry you struggle with this. How can I help?" She didn't need to do that. It's not her specialty! Love her!
