Dr. Laurie Gulick, DO

I like her because she is very knowledgeable and talks to me in a language that I can understand. She is very considerate and she listens. She isn’t judge mental and looks at things from others point of view. When I call there for an appointment I don’t have to do the press 1 for this or 2 for that and I have never had to leave a message and wait for a return call. When I need prescriptions filled they are called in the same day. She sends referrals to specialist the same day. I really like her. Her staff is very friendly and they do their job do very well. I have absolutely no complaints.

Nothing bad to say. She nice, and straight to the point. I recommend her as your PCP if you are like me. I mostly do my own research and then consult my physician for a second opinion. Most people I feel need more guidance which is normal.

AVOID HER! Waiting for a referral for TWELVE days!!!! In PAIN and under antibiotics. After hearing nothing from her I called her back two days ago and the secretary said the referral was completed 12 days ago when it is not! Contacted my Health Plan Insurance and they confirmed that there was no referral. I should have read all these comments about her before wasting time and money. Also, they refuse to tell you the name of the specialist they are going to refer.

I saw Dr. Gulick as my primary to get a referral to a specialist. She said she would refer me but never sent the referral in. What a waste of my time and money. If she cannot even follow thru with a referral, I do not want her as my primary care doctor. The office staff could not even get my name correct on their paper work after having a copy of my license and insurance card.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! The practice itself is careless at times but there’s no fixing the carelessness, inconsideration, and naivety of Dr. Gulick. I went in expressing a great deal of distress over a problem that I have dealt with all my life and recently discovered could be due to a certain condition. I simply wanted to get labs done and a new birth control prescribed to help. She really told me “Well it takes sticking to a healthy diet and lifestyle” ... LADY, my entire problem is that DESPITE being a normal, pretty dang healthy person lifestyle and diet wise, my body doesn’t line up!! I had to practically beg her to do labs for thyroid and PCOS, and on top of that, the birth control she prescribed (upon googling it because I want to know side effects and stuff) is NOTORIOUS for causing permanent mental problems and it’s not recommended for people with depression and anxiety which I disclosed I’ve been diagnosed with. Did this woman even go to school? Ridiculous.

Very positive....knowledgeable, cares about her patients. She’s willing to refer to specialist if needed.

She is extremely condescending as polite as she tried to come across. Doesn’t seem like she has the time for you. I asked about a refill HER staff had reminded me about when I scheduled an appointment for unrelated reasons. When I got there my initial concerns were somewhat addressed but as soon as I bring up the fact that her staff told me I needed a refill, she begins to act like she has no idea what I’m talking about. Instead of just concluding that me bringing it up in the first place is evidence enough that I would need more, we went back in forth in front of her entire staff until she figured I wasn’t leaving without it. She said something along the lines of, “So does this mean you want more refills or what, I guess I’m not understanding,” I’m sorry, what don’t you understand? What else would I be implying? Maybe I should have been more straight forward but she should know better. So embarrassing, so unnecessary, so unprofessional, so unqualified.

I brought my mom to her several times but each time i went and visited her i feel like she has lack of knowledge on this field and doesn’t know what she is doing. she has also done the same thing about my mom symptoms where she google it infront of me and mom and based on that she just told us to follow a diet from there without prescribing to any medication. i have visited her several time,After 3yrs of visiting her and follow up....&seeing not a single change on my mom symptoms..i thought maybe its not our fault but doctor is then i came to look her name up and see reviews . i see most people has discovered the same issue. Beware guys just because she is doc doesn’t mean she is right!!! change ur doctor who knows what they are actually doing.

Excellent physician, very comprehensive and knowledgeable. Makes you feel relaxed and great listening skills.

We experienced exactly the same thing as the person who posted a review on March 20, 2018. It was a new patient appt. she did not do an exam of any sort and was only concerned with rushing us out the door. I feel I had more medical knowledge than she. Beware!

Dr. Gulick either doesn't listen well or she lack appropriate knowledge and skill to do her job well. Each time I've brought a serious issue to her, I feel ignored, rushed, misunderstood, which is demonstrated by her general and often misinformed responses. She once googled a symptom in front of me and provided it as her professional opinion. I've always had to have follow-up with another doctor as my symptoms worsen to recieve the appropriate level of examination, information and treatment.
