Arrogant and unprofessional
Lauren O'Sullivan is completely lacking in empathy, compassion and even basic bedside manner. She is arrogant and condescending. I left in tears after being shamed and demeaned for asking for basic common courtesy in understanding my personal health history. She has no interest or respect for a patient who wants to be involved in their own health care decisions. There is no room for a civil conversation. You either accept humbly and unquestioningly what she says or she dismisses you with harsh anger and shame. All of this occurs while laying naked and vulnerable on her exam table. She lacks the most basic professional courtesy to allow one to dress and sit up for the diagnosis and suggested treatment. She imperiously announces what is to be and then she then walks out the door and leaves you lying there naked and alone.

Warning
In my experience, Dr O’ Sullivan is a doctor for the wealthy, the thin and the non inquisitive. Odd descriptors? Yes. I was not treated as tho I was worth her time. Self pay? Yes, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have the ability to pay, just that I opted not to buy over priced insurance. That’s my right. Am I over weight? Yes, and diligently working on that. No need to shame me! Did I ask questions? Yes and I was told to slow down. Of the many specialists I’ve seen in the past 5 years, she was by far the most expensive, the least helpful, least encouraging and offered the least help. For the second time, I found myself in tears after an appt. She requested a follow up visit. For what? I have no idea. I went for a second opinion to a different Dr and within 30 mins was treated with respect, had my questions answered, had a financial plan in place and was in line for scheduling surgery. Surgery was successful and I have NO regrets. Be warned and follow your gut. Shame on you, Dr!

Very disappointed on all fronts with Dr. O'Sullivan. I am a health coach and very knowledgeable about my thyroid, but when I asked her to run more labs than just the standard TSH she declined and then made me feel stupid for asking. I am a patient who takes my health into my own hands and doesn't rely on prescriptions alone to do the work and she did not seem to care about that or that I wanted more information. I feel like if I ask for extra blood tests to be run on a condition I have, that should be met with curiosity and acceptance. She is working for me, right? ALSO, I asked for a UTI test and they had me give a urine sample and when she called me back with other results a week later (if I had a UTI that is WAY too long to find out), she said she decided she didn't need to send the urine culture to the lab based on our conversation. She stated a few things I said that made her decide that, and those statements were inaccurate and untrue of my story. What a complete disaster.

I had a hysterectomy on July 23rd 2018! Mine did not go so well. It has been 1 1/2 years and I am not completely healed. 30 precent of my day is dealing with it. Because she had an accident. Read carefully all the what if’s that might happen and make sure you are confident in your surgeon!

Dr. O'Sullivan performed my hysterectomy on July 23rd 2018. From my first visit I was impressed by how personable, knowledgable, and caring she is. She went out of her way to get me in for my surgery on a day she was not scheduled to do surgeries because my case was critical. I was touched that she would reach out to me pre-op and post-op to just check in on me to see how I was doing. I have never experienced that before. Most doctors have staff follow up. Thank you!

Dr O'Sullivan is a skilled, caring physician. She has an excellent bedside manner, takes her time with her patients, is thorough, and compassionate. You never feel rushed when you're with her. She's also very knowledgeable about women's health issues and is on top of her game relative to what's new, relevant, applicable for her patients. She's awesome; glad I found her when I moved here.

I went to Dr. O'Sullivan for sucespected endometriosis. She did a surgery and said she couldn't do much since my adhesions were so bad. I could have accepted these results but when I followed up with her about a more invasive surgery SHE suggested. She then didn't want to do the surgery and made me feel blamed.. I wish she would have admitted she was not experienced in complex women's health issues and referred me elsewhere. I finally got relief in a specialist in Portland.

I have found Dr. O'Sullivan to be one of the kindest and most empathetic physicians I have known. She takes the time to listen to her patients. Last year, while experiencing a health crises, she gave me all the time I needed to explain my symptoms, took notes and then referred me to a specialist, allowing my illness to be properly diagnosed and treated. I have recommended Dr. O'Sullivan to others and would not hesitate to do so again.

From one surgeon to another surgeon. She is the best gyn surgeon around. Intelligent, down to earth and practical with excellent surgical skills. I just drove 500 miles to have her do my surgery and it was perfect. Her office is accommodating, you get a real person on the phone and very personal care are just part of the package.

Dr. O'Sullivan performed my hysterectomy and I am so very glad to be in her care. She is personable, professional yet warm, very informative in answering all my unusual questions, and she took the time to listen to me as well. Both pre and post surgery, she has been attentive and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Lauren O'Sullivan!

This doctor has the worst bedside manner I have ever encountered. Once she gets her money for surgeries she could care less how you are doing. Her staff is the best thing about her practice. Please do not consider going to this doctor.
