Money grab
I have been a patient of Dr. Davis for approximately 20 years. Over that time she has sold me five sleep apnea machines based on a test I did years ago that said I had very mild case of sleep apnea. Some years ago, she suggested I try an oral device. I did It works perfectly and I have thrived with it ever since. Dr. Davis has me go in annually to take my blood pressure, ask me if I’m OK and then gives me another prescription for ambient for the next 12 months. During Covid (I’m guessing business was pretty slow at that time) they asked me to do an at home sleep test. I declined. They called me to come in this week for an appointment in order to renew my sleeping pill prescription. At that time I was told by a nurse practitioner (I haven’t seen Dr. Davis for a few years because she is only in two days a week and it’s always only a nurse practitioner on duty) that If I did not agree to another sleep test, they would not renew my prescription. This is simply a money grab.

Dr. Davis doesn't Listen or Investigate problem!!
Without knowing my sleep issues or doing any Indepth questioning to figure out causes for my insomnia she made up her mind. She needs to learn to listen to patients!!!! Will never go back!!!

Long, long, long wait times
Dr. Davis is very nice and thorough, but the wait times are ridiculous, this way every time I have had an appointment. Today the waiting was packed, not a chair available for me to sit. When I asked if I could have a chair or wait in another room, receptionist told me I could wait in my car! Seriously? (In to heat or burn my $4.00 a gallon gas while I wait at least an hour to be seem? No thank you. While not go back.

Only saw Nurse Practitioner and sleep tech.
So far, it’s been nearly 3 weeks since I had an at home sleep study which looks to me, via patient portal, that was very abnormal. I have not heard from anyone despite leaving a message. The voice mail was a bit curt when saying “do not leave multiple messages”. I am not happy at all, so am planning to see someone else who cares enough to communicate! Dr. Davis was my PCP recommendation and I plan to let them know!

Dr. Davis has managed my sleep care for 12 yrs with patience, professionalism, and plenty of generous teaching. She works to make this affordable, communicates easily, has accepted several referrals but has been equally generous with me before and after. Like most doc's, she is unimaginably busy, but makes time for her patients.

I have never had a wait time less than 45 min. The receptionist seems to hate her job and the Ochsner techs aren't given enough time to explain how to best use the C Pap.
