So Appreciative
My PCP referred me to Dr. Leithauser for a very small pink spot on my cheek with suspicion of possible skin cancer. It was basal cell skin cancer. After Mohs surgery was preformed leaving a large open wound, needing 11 stitches to close I was crushed. Four months latter it was hardly detectable and now over a few years later … undetectable. She was very skilled in her ability to create such a wonderful outcome for me. Thank you so very much.

Does not take Medicaid
I wanted to see this Dr for my melanoma as she specializes in my disease. Very disappointing something out of my control (just recently got medicaid because husband lost his job) is the reason I cant see a preferred physician. Lady on the phone was very polite, tho.

Since the moment Dr. Leithauser stepped into the surgical suite to perform my MOHS procedure nearly 3 years ago, she has been the most skilled, thoughtful, and kind medical professional that I have ever met. Additionally, she has deliberately filled her office with a staff that shares her same personality and attitude. They pride themselves in getting patients into exam rooms on a timely basis and when Dr. Leithauser arrives, she interacts with you on a human level; you are not just another patient. She is always willing to answer my questions and I don’t feel rushed, nor do I ever feel like she is rushing to see her next patient. Additionally, her office is filled with the latest technology to help you look your very best. In the Traverse City area, this is the only dermatology office you need to visit. Just outstanding!

Dr. Laurel Leithauser & her staff get 5 stars (I would give 10)! They are professional, compassionate, kind, & knowledgeable. We are very fortunate to have a Dr. in Traverse City who performs the MOHS procedure. I was a patient recently & can’t say enough about how lucky I feel having found them. I would highly recommend The Skin Cancer & Dermatology Center. I call them “The A Team!”

I was referred to Dr. Leithauser because of some suspicious moles. I'm 79 and have enjoyed outside work all my life. My face was an embarrassment. Dr. Leithauser sad she would be able to help me if i was committed to a treatment plan. After a complete facial treatment re-build and MOHs surgery, I have a new baby smooth face.I would recommend Dr. Leithauser to anyone seeking a dermatologist for MOHs surgery. She rates an A++ in my book. We are lucky to have her here in Traverse city!

I want to be sure to pass this information on to everyone I know. Dr. Leithauser is the first doctor I have gone to that gave me a suggestion of the medicine to use to clear up my granddaughters skin issues that worked. I have been to a few different doctors that turned out to be a waste of my time and money. It's so nice to know that Dr. Leithauser is around for us to see again in the future! If you don't have time or money to waste, then PLEASE go see Dr. Laurel Leithauser!

Dr. Leithauser removed a basil cell cancer from my face in early December 2016. I was very impressed with her skill and professionalism not only in extracting the cancer cells but also in the excellent cosmetic repair as she sewed the wound back up. She and her assistant were very competent and friendly.
