Dr. Laura Shu, MD

Horrible, unprofessional and should not be practicing. Imagine telling someone that diverticulitis is contagious. Also prescribed a mood altering drug and said it was something else. STAY AWAY FROM DR SHU

Dr. Shu removed 3 biopsies and and all 3 were cancer. She is one of the most caring doctors I have ever had!

Shu was my primary care person for about a year. At my last visit, Shu told me that all my health problems were due to being overweight. Fat shaming was the name of the game from the beginning to the end of the visit. Cruel comments were made that I will not repeat yet I cannot forget. Additionally, Shu prescribed me drugs that in my assessment were inappropriate and one that even caused an allergic reaction for which I ended up in the ER. She did not follow up post my emergency room visit. I would advise not choosing Shu for primary care.

Although she has a limited time, she manages to make it personal, uses humor and the patient feels heard.

I found Dr. Shu initially friendly and helpful. Over time, however, I increasingly felt she was too chatty and chummy, at times unprofessional. I also believe she was overly confident in attending to issues which should have been handled by a specialist. I also found that she was somewhat frenetic and scattered so I ended up too often feeling tense. Sometimes the treatment plan was focused, other times disorganized, leaving me feeling that my health care was patchy. To her credit, she did refer me to some excellent specialists. Communication with the office is hit or miss.

Dr Shu is simply as good as a Doctor can be.She is so intelligent as well.Dr Shu let me know very early on that she cares for my well-being.

I am very grateful that God send me to her.

Dr. Shu is caring and upbeat and has solved various health problems for me. She has followed up with me after appointments (by phone as well as email) and saved me from undue suffering many times. She also makes me laugh, which is good medicine.
