One of the Worst
I am no longer able to be seen in this particular office because of her. She is an inhumane provider who dislikes her job.

Very knowledible and intuitive
Several years ago Dr. Crain got me through a very deep depression when I was at my lowest of lows. She is incredibly intelligent, intuitive and has good instincts. It did take me some time to establish a good rapport with her but now I value our visits. She isn't someone who is going to hold your hand and baby you but I appreciate that about her and I found that is the kind of therapist that I needed.

Horrible, amazing to think this woman has this level of education and experience and is this bad at what she does. I suddenly lost my husband in an accident and her first question to me was if I would still be able to pay her fees. She couldn't have been more disinterested if she tried. Please find yourself another profession.

Had an incredibly disheartening correspondence with her as gatekeeper for the Boston Psychoanalytic Institute referral service. Her message was essentially: fix your problem, then we can discuss the possibility of you entering into psychoanalysis therapy (for that problem).

Horrendous. Threatened to section me just because I cried hysterically in an appointment after a devastating breakup. Also prescribed me wildly inappropriate medications.

Different to get on contact with-will schedule appointments at her MGH office only by private phone, not by email, Patient Gateway or MGH office reception. Only available at MGH a total of 8 hours a week. Has not responded to requetss from my pharmacy to clarify a prescription. Personable enough, but distant. I don't feel much of a connection.

I agree with all of the statements left here, especially about her condescending nature. When you call her on it, she acts surprised. Too bad good doctors are so hard to come by.

She spoke over me, chided me, and was quite condescending. Frankly, I wouldn't recommend anyone seeing her. Perhaps she just had a few "off" days when we interacted but I'm someone in the healthcare industry myself and I expect better not only from my care providers but any colleague in patient services.
