I feel so blessed to have this doctor in our town of Redding. Lotta people say you should go out of town but after research this is the guy I am grateful for I highly recommend him. You won’t be disappointed. I broke my back mountain biking and he put me back together again with no complications or problems

I was initially shocked to hear from Dr. Widdel that the constriction in my neck was the cause of the problems with my feet without having neck pain. I am an active swimmer and paddler. I waited over a year to choose to have the surgery. He was incredibly patient and provided a detailed explanation that helped me understand the situation better. During the surgery, Dr. Widdel carefully considered the options regarding the number of vertebrae to fuse and opted for the least invasive approach, which I greatly appreciated.His assistant, Brian Pongracz, performed the stitches on the incision, and did an excellent job, resulting in a barely noticeable scar. The nursing staff, both pre-operation and post-operation, were extraordinarily friendly, kind, and supportive, making the entire experience much more comfortable and reassuring.

Dr Widdel was very concerned and concentrated not only on my injury but what I had to say about my self care. I greatly appreciated his knowledge and suggestions moving forward.

He was prepared and listened to my story. Most appreciated.

I came into the office to see Dr. Widdle, for my terminal spinal injury myeomalcia. I didn't see him though, I saw some license practicing nurse instead who didn't listen to any of my issues or really deal with the cause at hand at all. My orthopedic surgeon wanted me to see someone at the San Francisco UC Davis so I would get the best care because I had already been let down by so many doctors and the surgery that I had led to this incurable disease. And unfortunately another doctor let me down because I didn't even see them and they didn't even listen to me. My suggestion is, If you don't have the best insurance in the world try to go to UC San Francisco, at least maybe there they'll care and listen to you But if you have good insurance maybe you'll get a shot at seeing the doctor and having someone actually listen to you.

Dr. Widdel Was a second opinion on surgery that I had done already. He gave me an informed opinion, and did answer all my questions. I felt more comfortable with the concerns I had prior to my visit with The doctor

The doctor explained in detail what was wrong with my back and what surgery he would have to do and he explained it in terms that I could understand.

Dr.Widdel listen to your concerns,he explains what test or imaging he wants to use to aid in seeing what your issues are then a plan on taking care of that issue, on follow up appointment he explains what was seen from tests or imaging and puts together a plan to address issues.

The Dr. Really listened to me and was so kind and informative. I appreciated his honesty.

Very good listening skills

I have had this problem for a number of years and felt that Dr. Widdel explained the cause of my problem and the treatment options thoroughly and completely. I and my wife felt that all our questions and concerns were addressed and will definitely follow up with Dr. Widdel if my symptoms worsen. Thank you.

Very good. I been suggested by others to get a second opinion but the way everything was presented I was at peace with just continuing with Dr Widdel's recommendation
