Office needs to better manage their time, you either wait too long in the waiting room or in th examine room, usually longer than 30 minutes, no respect for patient personal time

I am back in the area and will be calling to try and see him as PCP. Older and have had many doctors, never had one that listens and engages. He actually helped me a great deal after many doctors could not. He is always very pleasant as well. Never had an issue with him and have gotten return calls when asked for one. Busy guy, but the good ones are! 5 star

Doctor Canton is alright-ish but the whole office is sketchy and I wouldn't want to go back there. 1. Cash only. In 2024? Why? What modern company can't accept a credit card? They required masks (2023, not COVID-peak) and charged like $3 for a cheap disposable mask, had to scrounge in my car for change.2. Office staff is rude. I tried to pay with card (see #1) and was just completely treated like an idiot because I didn't have any cash on me.3. Not much notice before appointments. You get a phone call a day before the appointment and maybe a voicemail. No email or text notifications. Then you get billed for a missed appointment if you can't make it. I tried calling back the next day to cancel my appointment and the office staff was so rude (see #2) because I couldn't make it. 4. Long Wait. My time is more valuable than waiting in a waiting room for an hour and a half to get 2 minutes of the doctor's time.I'd complain more but there's a character limit. Don't bother.

Professional and personable

He has been my doctor for many years. He is pleasant and likeable, but his wait times can be an hour or longer at times and that is not a happy experience for sure. So if you get annoyed by long wait times, be for warned.

I would never ever recommend this doctor. I am a physician myself and I am a palled at how they treat their patients. Your non-controlled medication will be held ransom if you do not go into see him for medication’s that You have been on for years. When they are contacted by the pharmacy numerous times, they ignore it. They do not contact their patients Should you need an appointment for meds.His staff is rude.They are very non-informative except for when it comes to paying co-pay. No debit or credit cards used in his office. When he’s contacted by the pharmacy, he doesn’t answer i.e. pharmacy has contacted him numerous times for one week with no answer for refill. I am a retired physician and I know what a good practice versus a bad practice. His office is Unsanitary. When you give them information about you for your records it may not come out right. If there was a zero star I would give him that but forced to give him one star

Really like Dr.Canton, My husband and I have been going to him for 10+ years and my mom was a patient of his for 20+ years! He has a great bedside manner, and listens to your concerns. Most of The staff is pleasent, the only reason I didn't give him 5 stars is because of the wait time! But i understand why the long wait time because he actually takes the time to listen to his patients, other that that great dr.!

Update - Dr. Canton is doing Telehealth appointments now. I'm very pleased to report this. As I mentioned in my previous review, he has excellent bedside manner and is very patient. Downside is wait time, overbooking, and I've had some disagreements with staff over the years on renewal policies not just for COVID.

Dr Canton has been my doctor for over 10 years and I would not switch to anybody else he is great.

I have been to Dr. Canton two times now....HE AND HIS STAFF ARE AWESOME. Because of my insurance, I had to leave my Dr. of 16 years and switch to Dr. Canton. I AM SOOOOOOO GLAD I DID....He has done MORE for me in two short visits than my doctor of 16 years has done. He listens, he is VERY thorough with his assessments/physical of you and sat with me to review LINE BY LINE my bloodwork results. His STAFF is very pleasant and VERY EFFICIENT. The whole place runs like a well oiled machine.

The place smells so bad, the staff are rude and the wait time is way too long. I am finding a better Dr. one that will listen to me verses trying to push people through to make a quick buck.

Love Dr Canton and his staff! The Dr listens and spends time with you and does not just write and Rx My only complaint is the wait time! I always plan on being there for at least 90 minutes.

There is way too much to try and explain, leave it to say that Dr Canton is a good doctor and would recommend him alone....but not his staff or his office.
