Dr. Larissa Isterabadi, MD

Dr. Isterabadi has been forgetful the past few times she has stated she would provide specialist referrals she has not. It's frustrating to learn a few weeks after a visit, with no call from the specialist, that no referral was made.

If your child has special needs ie ASD do not see this doctor. Her only help is psychiatric medication. Does not care to help with any internal issues. My child needed antibiotics for yeast and bacteria overgrowth and she turned us away. She will help with neuro typical kids only apparently. Awful!

My 11yr old daughter needed a school checkup and to get some shots. Our regular Doctor, Dr. Woo, was unavailable and so we had to see Dr. Isterabadi. She was particularly nervous about getting the shots but everything went well and she handled it like a champ. Dr. Isterabadi was reviewing her stats when she decided to flip her screen around and point to the BMI chart. She then proceeded to tell her that she was on the high end of the BMI chart ,that she was overweight and that we should be monitoring her cholesterol. As soon as she left the room she burst into tears asking my wife if she was fat. She isn't by any standard and the thought had never occurred to her prior to this appointment but now her self image is forever changed because this Doctor was so callous as to point this out to her. The right thing to do would've been to ask her to step outside so she can review any concerns with my wife who was present at the time. Instead she chose to body shame my daughter.

I am so thankful that I found Dr. Isterabadi. She is so committed to the well being of her patients. She is thorough in her exams and excellent at addressing issues and concerns. I truly feel that my children are in the best hands possible when it comes to Pediatricians.
