Great Physician
Dr. Larissa Allen provided great care and concern for my condition. She asked lots of questions, listened to my concerns and was very reassuring. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy, but after much discussion, she decided I should also have an upper endoscopy. Good thing! Polyp was removed, etc. Dr. Allen's bed side manner is fantastic. Her surgical staff was so caring and kind. The only thing that needs improvement is the office staff.

Fabulous Gastroenterologist
I have been seeing Dr. Allen for several years. Right from the start I found her personable and open minded with a vast store of current treatments. This is the one to see. She caught a rare issue and worked with me on a new clinical trial treatment and helped me get into the Mayo Clinic, sharing no one here in the Tucson area could help me effectively. Awesome lady!

Definitely find another Doctor
I first started going to Dr. Allen with high hopes of figuring out my stomach issues, She was able to do an endoscopy which after I finished the rest of the care plan with my general surgeon. Once I realized I still had issues I went back to her and she did want some tests done which is where the problems started. I had issues with her orders and it took four months to hear anything from the office. I called the office multiple times, left voicemails for Dr. Allen's MA requesting a call back on the referral and allergy issue which I never received a call back, EVER. I honestly don't know if it's the staff or the doctor at this point, even the Practice Manager Hannah was making it seem like it wasn't that big of a deal. My health issues were obviously not important so if you do need a doctor and staff who honestly care for patients, this is not it!!! Look elsewhere.

Outstanding Professional
I had several GI issues stemming from radiology treatment of my prostate cancer. Dr. Allen was recommended by my radiological oncologist. Dr. Allen listened closely to my symptoms, asked questions, correctly diagnosed my problems, and devised a non-intrusive treatment plan to solve multiple issues. She also performed a routine colonoscopy, since I was due. I have deep gratitude for Dr. Allen’s treatment, which greatly increased my quality of life.

Find Another Doctor
They do not care whatsoever about their patients. Very rude and disrespectful from front office, administration, and Dr. Allen's MA. They don't follow through with what they say they are going to do and then accuse the patient of all faults. It's like no one in their office could possibly make a mistake, but the patients apparently lie about what their staff said they would do. The only person that was polite to me was Cindy, the office Manger. Do yourself a favor and find a caring, professional office! They are neither!

Great Physician
I had a colonoscopy last year by Dr. Allen. Dr. Allen is an excellent medical provider. She answered my questions I had before my procedure. I had no discomfort after the procedure; I was given post op instructions prior to my procedure. I can highly recommend Dr. Allen to any patient needing her specialty.

I have gone to this office for a few years now and I do often see the medical assistant, and have only met the real DR twice. Larissa Allen is very competent, and through. They have ordered tests for me and not given me a reason for the test. Overall Dr. Allen does a pretty good job, but I do wish that patients could see her more often.

If I could leave a 0 stars, I would. Her office staff is rude, her medical assistant is rude, and her patient care is bordering on criminal. If you have state health insurance, DO NOT GO HERE. She will ignore you, order tests you don't need, and not order the tests you do need. I was told my insurance would not approve a camera pill swallow until I have a small bowel follow through. So I had a (horrid) small bowel follow through. Then I was told that my insurance was taking forever to get the pre-authorization for the camera pill (it has taken MONTHS at this point). I called my insurance to see what was going on. Come to find out that not only did I NOT need the small bowel follow through in order for the camera pill to be approved, but that the camera pill had been approved not once but TWICE. I Have tried calling her office time and time again to try to schedule it and always get shuffled to voice mail. NO ONE EVER CALLS YOU BACK. And I have never actually had an appointment with Dr.

Dr. Allen is a very thorough and caring physician who takes her time with her patients. Dr. Allen performed an Upper GI, and a colonoscopy on me and informed me about what she did. She impressed me so much that I am going back to her for the same procedure after three years. Thank you Dr. Allen for your expertise.

One of the best GI Doctor I have ever seen. She listens, makes very well thought out recommendations with multiple treatment options. She's very caring. Visited me at the Hospital without being requested. Highly recommend her. Would like to know where she moved to. I understand she is leaving her current office.
