Yearly check up

Dr Gaskin is the only physician who always sees me exactly at my appointment time and I never have to wait. She provides an expedient yet thorough examination and is very easy to work with. The only negative thing I have to say is that the phone system at New York Presbyterian does not work as phone messages left on her line do not return but that's not her fault.

Dr. Geskin is a superb, amazing physician with a very caring, powerful, healing touch. I barely felt the first touch of the anaesthetic needle and then nothing, no pain, no discomfort at all. Her biopsy went deep enough in my cheek to capture the roots of suspected Melanoma and left no scar. I felt like we both just stepped out of a healing scene from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. There are no dermatologists better than Dr. Geskin. My parents were both physicians, I know well about what I speak. MANY THANKS to Dr. Geskin for her superb care!

There's a lot of truth in these reviews. While she may be highly competent (I've had too little experience to judge), her bedside manner is awful. The office in Tarrytown is run like a meat market where the goal seems to be speed and volume rather than personal care and guidance.She used liquid nitrogen on a foot issue but didn't guide that it would result in blistering and pain, didn't discuss pain mgmt, wound care or that walking would be hard. She identified a common condition, prescribed a cream but did not educate me on it - just use this cream forever. On a follow up, she and staff relied on me to remember and ask about the prior visit's treatments. I forgot one but she was out the door before we could revisit. Whole appointment 10 mins. When I asked to see her moments later on the missed issue, her assistant said she was with another patient and I'd have to wait. ~$350 visit and I couldn't get 30 mins of her time?? Never going back.

There are not a lot of doctors like Her Dr .Geskin and her staff were very caring, thorough and attentive. I felt as if I were in great hands throughout the whole process. She is very effective in her approach and did everything needed in a timely manner. I was scared with my diagnosis and she placed me at ease.

And, she shows great empathy for each patient. I like that she communicates clearly using simple words. Her examination and consultation is very thorough and provides needed feedback.
