Worst doctor ever
I don't think I've ever experienced such bad patient care. I went to Dr. Patel for frequent UTI and urinating blood. He put me through a CT and cystoscopy. I got an infection from the cystoscopy and could not get a hold of his office for a week. Not only could I not get a hold of his office I only talked to him once out of 3 appointments. At my last appointment, he told me I was normal and healthy and I should see a GYN even though they sent me to him and I definitely have a urology problem that he just ignored! It took weeks to get a referral out of him. I have still not heard back from him after my infection that almost left me in the hospital. Overall his office has horrible patient care, doesn't explain anything, and just runs tests. Also, my urine sample was $70 and the results say inconclusive due to containment.

Excellent Doctor, Horrid Office Manager
Dr. Patel is an excellent doctor, highly intelligent and very efficient. Unfortunately, the office manager Brittany is very incompetent, unprofessional and nasty to patients. She forgot to schedule my surgery, lied about it and blamed the hospital, then had such an attitude while I struggled to schedule it all the while in severe pain. Eventually, I had to see another Urologist and was taken care of thankfully. I am not sure who holds her accountable if at all but, would recommend going to ANY other Urologist until PHC is able to replace this out of control child with power. I hope this review will help other patients make an informed decision, thank you for allowing me to post my review and patient experience.

N0 as I was denied my scheduled appointment without any definitive explanation why. In fact I didn’t get past the receptionist on the day of scheduled appointment claiming they’d been trying to reach me by phone since making said appointment, yet I had no missed calls recorded. At the time I scheduled my appointment a week out on the recommendation of an ER doctor, I was asked if I had medical insurance, to which I replied no, and was quoted $200 to self pay on the day of scheduled visit. I was informed I was required to source another physician first. I would of thought that the information the ER doctor could have provided would have been sufficient. Btw the only reason for the ONE star is to enable submission.

Saw Dr. Patel for a prostate biopsy. Results were negative, but picked up an antibiotic resistant ecoli infection. He prescribed an antibiotic, but did not work. Had a 103 degree fever and was in the hospital for 4 days. Left with a picc line and IV antibiotics for another 10 days. Took out the picc line, now 7 days later getting another picc line installed with 10 more days of antibiotics. Once I was admitted to the hospital, I never heard from him again. He has not once checked in to see how I am doing or to see if he can help. Luckily I have found a much better Urologist. There is no way I would ever recommend him.

RATE A ZERO! He was nice and made us feel at ease during the procedure but that is the only good thing I have to say. Was seen once 4 days after vasectomy due to severe pain, swelling. Diagnosed with a granuloma and put on antibiotics. Continued with severe pain and swelling and was taking max dose of ibuprofen and analgesics otc. Called back with worsening issues and had to call back 3 times just for the receptionist Brittany to say they had called in another anti inflammatory. Not a stronger antibiotic or anything. Not once did a dr or even a nurse y’all to me or return my calls. You would think that a good dr would take care of his patients post surgery. I wouldn’t send my dog to this place. I am sure if he had the same issues post op he would not be happy at all. I expected and paid for a competent dr and seems I would have been better off in a back alley! Do not go to this practice or send anyone you know!

Dr. Patel has been great with me from my first visit through two surgeries. He has excellant bedside manner and shows a genuine concern for me and my problem. He relates very well to me and informs my wife also of my condition. He has always made time for me even when a problem arises and I had no appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Patel to others and have done so. Very pleased with the results of my surgeries.
