Absolute Joke
If your looking for somewhere to deliver your baby that won’t add to an already stressful time as first time parents AVOID Beaumont at all costs. From a medical perspective we had no issues with the care my wife received BUT operationally this place is a disaster. We were scheduled to be induced on July 2nd at the recommendation of my wife’s doctor (Jay Fisher). When we arrived on the 2nd never did my wife and on think we would be sent home without our child. After 5 hours of waiting we were told the birth center was over capacity and they would “call us” at some point to come back. The explanation the staff gave was the induction was “elective” but from our POV we were just following the recommendations of her doctor (we are non the wiser to elect or not we are not doctors) We both had started our leave at our jobs already as we assumed we were going to be having the child. 5 days later my wife went into labor, thankfully as at this point we still had not been “called back”

I cannot begin to express the gratitude and admiration I have for Dr. Wharton. I met Dr. Wharton about 10 years ago when I was admitted from the ER because of debilitating pelvic pain and bleeding. I had been to see several OBGYN’s in the past few years for uncontrolled pelvic pain and bleeding unfortunately all they had done was prescribe me pain medication and blown me off so I ended up desperate at the ER. They told me that I was fine and nothing was wrong with me. I met Dr. Wharton after I

I choose Dr Wharton 4years ago for the birth of our daughter. It was a surprise pregnancy. My partner and I went to our first appointment and Dr Wharton made first me and the surprise father at ease from the very beginning. He rendered never any judgement. We delivered a healthy girl with me needing to be wheeled away to deal with a retained placenta. He did an excellent job. I recovered well. 2017 another pregnancy. He is still one of the kindest, happiest and best bedside mannered Dr I have met

He talked to me in a tone one uses on small children, put his hands on my bare stomach which was in a great deal of pain, saying "My, that's a really pretty tummy you have." I said "I don't need a man putting his hands on me and than commenting on my body when I'm in the hospital internally bleeding. That's really inappropriate and doesn't gain my trust" He defensively responded “Oh, I just meant you’re not a fat slob. I treat a lot of fat slobs." He also misprescribed a dangerous medication.
