Dr. Kristina Stefanac, MD

Not sure why there are negative reviews, I having been seeing dr. Stefanac for over a year and have found her to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful and such a warm person. Setting up appointments was easy, and usually a lot of options to choose from. I highly recommend Dr. Stefanac.

I wasn't even going to leave a review here but was simply looking to see if her office accepts my new insurance (which they don't). Anyway, I was shocked to see people giving her negative reviews so I wanted to share that I think she is great. I drove a considerable distance to see her and I was always impressed how she recalled my issues without referring to notes. She seems to have a general care for me her patients.

Extremely unprofessional. Does not care about your mental health the importance of it. These healthcare providers are supposed to be there for YOU and YOUR HEALTH but in reality could care less. BEFORE I even had my first appointment, I was treated extremely rudely and felt like I was an inconvenience for wanting her help. Less than 24 hours before my appointment, my appointment got cancelled and am getting refused to reschedule. I have never felt so disrespected and disregarded by a healthcare professional. Please choose anywhere but here.

Before spring of 2019 when I was still able to see her in person I don’t really have any complaints. Ever since the office moved to virtual only though I feel like just another number and on several occasions felt like she was completely dismissive of my concerns. I feel like my quality of care in a really difficult time as a mom dealing with mental health concerns has been very poor. I have shared important information about my life and situation over and over and she never remembers the next time we talk. Appointments are supposed to be 15 minutes after the initial appointment and I am lucky if my virtual appointments last 10 minutes. Overall I would not recommend. I just feel unimportant and like my situation doesn’t matter.

Dr. Stefanac herself was a great doctor. However, her office staff is completely awful. She accepts Cigna, which I had along with Medicare for a disability. They asked me for my insurance information before they could schedule an appointment, in which I told them the above. She does not accept Medicare, and nobody told me this was an issue, Cigna wouldn't pay if I had another insurance. Not only should I never have even been scheduled for an appointment (their words, not mine) the inept office staff failed to make me aware that Cigna was not paying, & allowed me to rack up a bill of near $1000. Not only did this happen due to their mistake, when they said I had a bill, they were very rude and the one who did schedule me, acted as though I was crazy. I got that big bill taken care of with help, & now I'm being harassed for $100 bill they say I still owe. I'm on disability with a fixed income, & they totally screwed me on my credit. DO NOT GO HERE- NOT WORTH THE HASSLE! DISAPPOINTING.

Not at all!!! Refused to see me — and that’s definitely her option. However, I booked this appointment two/three weeks out, and didn’t receive a call declining my appointment, until after I get a confirmation call, along with an e-mail on how to utilize the video appointment link for the virtual appointment @ 9:00 a.m. Within a couple of hours, I get the “unfortunately “ call, and this is all occurring the day BEFORE my appointment. The best takeaway (hands down) is the Administrative Assistant, and how apologetic she was. She definitely eased the anxieties that were triggered after feeling like I had just been unambiguously rejected. Again- she is under no obligation to consult with me, however, having the common courtesy of not waiting less than 24hrs to inform me of this, would have allowed me to not make “last minute choices” relating to searching for someone else— in a manner conforming with; it isn’t a “ one size fits all” appointment.
