Bad Bedside Manner
Really just disrespectful to patients, doesn’t want to discuss healthcare plans, would rather belittle people and condescend to them about their bodies and their needs

Excellent health care provider. I always feel like I am in good hands and get the best care by Dr. Jhamb over the past ten plus years. Consistent and very responsive.

Missed my daughter’s spinal cord tumor until I pushed her to get an MRI (I am a physician myself) ended up with a 10 hour surgery at Mass General and is thankfully doing well. I recently survived a cardiac arrest and ended up with 11 broken ribs. I arranged an appointment with her and she had an office person call me to tell me that she wanted me to know she would not be prescribing narcotics for me under any circumstances. This is totally inappropriate to say before evaluating a patient.

Excellent++ One plus is that she cares about my health. As an example, I was recently taken by ambulance to Maine Medical Center for a head trauma incident and she called me there, offering to help in any way she could. She has a great personality and doesn't hesitate to send you to a specialist if she feels your condition warrants it. I have recommend her to my friends.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jhamb for 4-5 yrs. I think she is terrific: sharp, funny, engaging and very smart and professional. She recently removed some staple sutures and got the orthopedic surgeon on the phone while I was in the examining room so I could talk to him immediately. She is very easy to talk to and I consider myself lucky to be one of her patients.

I have seen Dr. J about 7 years, she is a very pleasant person, but feel her medical care is not what it should be. Maybe it is dictated by the practice she is in? I have had an intermittent problem & after doing a few tests, she told me it was "probably a sore muscle". Being a Div I athlete, I knew she did not know what she was talking about & she did not want to pursue the issue. By accident I happened to come across someone else's review with a similar experience but a more serious issue.

Poor diagnostician. Has no interest in learning something beyond her narrow range of expertise. Can be very rude and insulting thinking she's being amusing. I doubt that she's aware of her behavior. Something amiss at her office as well. Every time I go there, the people are different. No one knows who you are and the workers there appear to take little interest in their jobs. Looking for a better doctor/situation.

I have had positive experiences with Dr. Jhamb and her office staff. I was impressed when I first met her and told her I wanted to partner with my doctor to plan my health care. She was very agreeable and positive. Yes she does talk about weight and life style but as hard as it is to hear those things are what causes health issues for most people.

She doesn't take the time to actually listen to concerns to get a full view of what might be going on. Her only concern seems to be with weight. She would likely make a good weight management doctor, but not satisfied with her as a primary physician.

Each time I meet with Dr. Jhamb, I leave feeling unheard and disrespected. She makes judgments about my behaviors and lifestyle after listening to me for two minutes, then tells me what to do. I'm not part of a team in managing my healthcare, because if I ask questions or try to explain, she offers rebuttals and put-downs. Time and time again, I am reminded of why she does not fit into the quality, respectful, patient-centered care that Mid Coast otherwise provides. I've had it.
