Very poor procedures
A routine surgery for skin cancer got badly infected within days. My regular doctor gave me a shot and prescribed antibiotics. Two days later I went to get the sutures removed. Instead of Dr. Richards there was a P.A. who kept telling me there was no infection. I asked to see Dr. Richards. Instead the P.A. took a photo, went out and came back to tell me Dr. Richards said it looked fine and she didn't need to see it. The P.A. left and a medical assistant removed the sutures. No one gave instructions on wound care. No doctor bothered to speak to us at any time after the sutures were removed. When I got home the incision was already leaking blood. We called the doctor's office. The doctors would not talk to us but the medical assistant did. She couldn't suggest anything. Any good doctor will call the patient at home after surgery to be sure everything is OK. Especially if there's a problem. Not Dr. Richards. Not available, indifference to patient concerns, refusal to address key issue.

Worst doctor I've ever seen. She only wanted to sell me cosmetic services as the "CEO" of her "business". I went in for a couple nagging plantar warts on my feet that required different treatment than the traditional freezing. She refused to acknowledge they were warts but rather said they were callouses even though the black dots were clearly visible and I've been treated for repeated plantar warts for years. She made me come back for the "treatment" to bill me again, then on the next visit she refused to do the treatment. She also put in the code as if they were callouses thereby causing my insurance to not cover the office visit, costing me even more. Eventually I wasted three office visits and almost $170 on getting literally no care from her. Worst "doctor" I've ever seen in my entire life. Please think twice before booking a visit at her office.

Dr. Richards permanently scared me, and I've had to go to a plastic surgeon and have multiple procedures to correct the issue. She did dermabrasion on a scar which was apparently way too aggressive for my skin type. This left a large indentation that is a completely different texture and looks so bad. I went back to her, and her comment was that I was basically seeing things and there was no indentation. Thankfully, a plastic surgeon did a revision to help correct the issue, but there is still a lot of scaring left from Dr. Richards procedure. She never even offered to make the issue right, but instead, said I should go to a doctor in Los Angeles i.e. basically passed the responsibility off to someone else. I had to spend over $4,000 trying to fix it. I am looking to get an attorney to sue for malpractice at the moment. I used to go to Torrey Pines Dermatology when I was in college and they were amazing. DO NOT GO TO DR. RICHARDS if you can help it. If she does make a mistake, she coul

I had a basil cell removed from my upper arm. The stitches look like a Frankenstein arm. Also the area is discolored. People are always asking me what happened now over 2 years later. Dr Richards was very unconcerned and if it were her arm she would be horrified. I have opportunities to warn people not to use her. It's your choice

I love Dr. Richards, have been going to her for years. However, I am leaving as her office/staff/PA, are so incompetent! Most reciently, I had to deal with Christine, PA. to get a refill on my d acne meds, clindamycian, 4 weeks of phone calls and stoping by the pharmacy 2 times, no refil! They finally told me they want to see her every 3 months! Really for acne meds? Sadly I went through the same last year with them. Do not recommend, unless u want to spend you life getting s refills.

What a wonderful dermatologist. She's very knowledgeable about various treatments and what works for my skin. She is very conscientious and doesn't overdo fillers. I've also seen her PA who is just as good. I would highly recommend her for any cosmetic procedure as they have the full gamut of lasers and cosmetic procedures. She is also a highly trained dermatologist so I feel very comfortable in her hands.

I think this Doctor more care about Personal Revenue then about patient. I waited for appointment about 3 month. When I came to the office on time I waited 20 minutes before invited to the room. My size is XXX, but I got the robe Small size. I wait another 20 minutes in the patient room and then decided to leave. Nobody still call me to check why I am left. I waited long time on my first visit also and Dr. Richards spent just 5 minutes with me.
