He is very thorough and friendly

From the moment we contacted his office, everyone on the staff has been attentive and follows through. X rays were taken immediately instead of waiting until after the doctor saw him. The doctor didn't rush us, answered all our questions and was very attentive. His surgery scheduler was amazing also! We came from Michigan and saw that he was highly rated. We can see why. Outcomes were very good for my husband, the doctors caring and follow up were amazing also. This is after seeing several other doctors who did not follow through. Truly a doctor who cares for his patients, even though he has a very busy schedule, He takes the time. We highly recommend him and his staff!

Dr. Kristof is Awesome! Very knowledgeable on what he does and can do! His staff also is awesome anywhere from Scheduling, to making appointments, to his surgical staff! Dr Kristof performed my neck surgery in October and within 6 months, it has completely healed and is doing great. Doctor Kristof is highly recommended in my book for sure! Everyone on his staff please keep up the great work and keep doing everything right!!

Each visit was handled in timely manor and only had one appointment where he attended someone in need and that is understandable …I find he is on time and the radiology dept is always ready and get the job done efficiently and are friendly while doing so…I feel Dr Kristof is a wonderful and caring Spine surgeon and helped me with a cervical issue and I was impressed to feel immediate relief upon waking in recovery….not to say all areas felt terrific but definitely felt my right side felt better…I continue to improve and have no qualms in recommending Dr. Kristof…he helped me with all my discomfort and pain….I’m truly impressed…I couldn’t thank him enough!!

A couple of weeks ago Dr. Kristof injected my SI joints, which he has done before. The whole procedure start to finish takes about 10 minutes. The initial injection is a bit painful, knowing that I'm going to get some pain relief, it's worth it. He will do them every 4 months but there is also a surgery to insert a peg in each SI joint rather than have the injections. Dr. Kristof has explained that surgery to me, but it's been awhile. This time I could feel almost immediate pain relief. Thank God for your kindness, knowledge and skills, Dr. Kristof. You're simply the BEST!!

Dr Kristof was truly great. From the consultation to the last follow up appointment, I felt comfortable with my treatment plan and my recovery. He answered all of my questions, with confidence and honesty. I would highly recommend him to a friend or family knowing he will take great care of them.

Good manners, ever any question, they get back to you asap!!! I don't understand when people say their doctor did not fix their back. The best board certified fellowship trained spinal orthopedic surgeon I have ever met. Dr. Kristof is the spine whisperer you are looking for. He has integrity, heart and soul for his patients. In a nut shell he used his magic to fix my lumbar spine after over 10 years of intractable pain. It’s been three months since my surgery and I am living my life without the pain. Excellent. He performed heavy-duty back surgery on me. He thought of everything and informed me before surgery. He wanted to prescribe a strong pain medication but I took one that was less strong. I wish I had listened to him. He was right.

Dr. Kristof is one Great Surgeon. I'm 70 years old and I can't say enough about him.

I have struggled with back pain/problems for 20 years. I am only 37 and Two years ago a surgeon told me I HAD to have surgery. I have degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis and my nerves at L5/S1 were severely pinched. My feet were numb and I felt unstable every time I walked. I wasn’t ready so I had numerous blocks, ablations, injections and nothing worked. It progressed and I had some atrophy and nerve damage from waiting. I started vetting surgeons (3 to be exact) and was scared. Once I met Dr. Kristof I was immediately at ease. He has an amazing bedside manner and finally explained what was wrong more than any Dr. I have been to. I decided to have the surgery and am so glad I did. I wish I did it two years prior. I was walking the evening of surgery and didn’t need my walker after 5 days. I no longer have any nerve pain! He has changed my life. I can now be active with my 5 year old. He is AMAZING! I highly recommend him. You won’t regret it!

Dr Kristof has performed surgery on my lumbar spine 5 years ago(2015) at Flower Hospital and a cervical spine fusion in September 2020. I am very happy with both surgeries, although I have had a longer recovery with my cervical spinal surgery as Dr. Kristof accessed the site through the front of my neck. Dr. Kristof told me what to expect and has a very kind , gentle, yet straight forward way to explain surgeries and the aftermath. Since it is has been 5 years since my lumbar surgery, I claim it as a great success. I even had to be more mobile sooner than recommended due to a family tragedy and still healed well. Dr. Kristof was very compassionate and understanding of my special needs during this difficult time. I highly recommend Dr. Kristof as very skilled surgeon who also had wonderful bedside manners.

Let me start by saying Dr. Kristof and his staff are extraordinary. I was experiencing pain in both legs associated with a lower back issue. I first went to Dr. Kristof after researching other doctors and consultations. After a visit they recommended trying less evasive treatments to surgery. Unfortunately that did not work for me. Surgery was then scheduled and COVID hit. The response form his office explaining that the surgery would have to be delayed was more than I would have expected. Michelle was fabulous. I finally had surgery June 29 at St Anne’s and it went so well I was released the next day. It’s been almost three month since surgery and Im well on the way to an improved lifestyle. I highly recommend Dr Kristof.

Dr. Kristof has a very engaging personality which makes me feel at ease asking questions. He explains the problem and the best way to solve it very clear. He will give you as much time as you need to feel confident about your path forward before you leave. I had back surgery in February and I have had 2 more appointments with him that went very well. I am recovering well.
