My PEG tube leaked and needed a replacement. Dr. Smith and her staff took time to find a correct model for me. The replacement was fast with no pain. It's perfect if compared with my previous experience (I once had a tube placement in an ER with lots of pain, and once a doctor refused to replace my tube because it's not totally broken, and once a doctor wanted me to buy and bring in a new tube). Dr. Smith also gave me useful advice on skin rash treatment and regular replacement. Dr. Smith is very kind, attentive, and professional.

Dr. Smith played a critical role in my mother's cancer surgery and palliative care. Recently, my mother went to see Dr. Smith four months after her surgery and was pleasantly surprised at the care, concern, and genuine kindness that Dr. Smith offered her during this visit. Her bedside manner and approach were impeccable! She answered all of my mother's health and recovery questions with a high degree of thoroughness and candor, which made my mother feel relieved that she will be getting better soon and is on the road to a full recovery. My mother is extremely grateful for having Dr. Smith as one of the surgeons on her medical team. She and I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Smith and her incredible staff and colleagues at Weill Cornell Hospital.

I found myself in the ER under very traumatic circumstances and thank my lucky stars that Dr. Smith was on call that night. She immediately comforted me with her warmth and compassionate nature. Dr. Smith performed my emergency surgery through all hours of the night, communicated with my family along the way, and demonstrated great continuity of care by visiting me daily and emailing on her days off. She also saw me for months of wound care and kept in touch once I was discharged to complete my recovery at home. Of course, I wish no one ever needs emergency surgery, but you're in excellent hands if Dr. Smith is your surgeon. 6 months later I opted to have my second surgery with her as well! Dr. Smith has great medical expertise and is a gem of a person.

Dr. Smith is a lifesaver... literally! My mom, 89 years old with a complicated medical history, needed her appendix out. Throughout the surgical process Dr. Smith kept us in the loop and was extremely knowledgeable. She was also professional, punctual and caring.

Dr.Smith was attentive to my needs and knows what she's doing. My appendectomy went smooth and feels like I never even had one. If I end up requiring hospital care. I will certainly be going to Presbyterian.

Frequently tied up in surgery so the average wait time to see her is often prolonged. When with you she gives her full attention.
