My sister was brought to Piedmont ER bc she was having excruciating pain in her head and neck. This dr said she has a sprained neck after asking her a few questions. I ASKED FOR A CT OR MRI and was told no, we don't do MRIs here and a CT scan would not show a problem w her muscles being sprained. She gave her iv w pain meds which did not stop the pain and wrote rx for pain sent her out the door. We didn't make it to the car before she was screaming in pain again. Head, neck, and chest pain. We had her re-admitted, they gave her more medd for her head, did blood work, and a chest xray and said I am sorry, your pain is not going away for a few days. This is a pulled neck muscle and this is all we can do. Discharged AGAIN. We took her home only to call 911 at 330a.m. bc she was in so much pain. She was given a ct scan this time which showed an aneurysm in her brain and life flighted to Atlanta for surgery.

Took my daughter to the ER and was seen by Dr. Tomlinson. She was extremely friendly, well informed, and took time to answer our questions. She gave our daughter a thorough exam, erred towards caution in her diagnosis, and provided us with information to follow-up with her should we have any concerns. Dr. Tomlinson gave us constructive feedback as to the diagnosis of our daughter and we never felt rushed. I would not hesitate to take our children to her or to recommend her to friends.

Dr. Tomlinson was not at all concerned with my condition, and my chief complaint was made to seem insignificant. She was abrupt, argumentative, and neglected and even neglected to perform a physical exam. She also failed to send me home with a precription for a medication that I was told I would receive and documented in the paperwork. I admit that I should have double checked the script, but I felt rushed during our visit. Maybe she was having having a bad day, but was very cold towards me.
