My Highest Oninion
Dr. Young operated on my hand several years ago. I am a retired Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 40 years of experience, so I am a good judge of who is a competent surgeon and who is not. I found Dr. Kim to be talented, surgically skilled and caring. She took the time to explain the procedure and expected recovery time and possible complications with me. I never felt rushed, and did not have to wait long for an appointment. I have to have the same procedure on a different hand soon and I will be seeing Dr. Young again. I felt very safe in her hands.

Saved my life, Thank you Dr Young
I was referred to Dr Young with a lot of animosity in my heart for Dr's and finding a diagnosis for the injury and pain I was in. I have been to more than 20 Dr's from MUSC to every specialist I can think of. They all gave me either pain medicine, Boto-x, creams and misdiagnosis. I have been through the ringer to say the least. Well over $100k spent combined co-payments, deductibles and insurance money and I still just suffered. I lived with Ice bags constantly on my arm and had to wake up at night to switch out ice bags from the freezer to get through the night with the pain. I walked in the office and Dr Young came in, she looked at my arm, mashed around some while I squirmed in pain. It took her 5 minutes looking at me and my records and she knew exactly what was going on. 4 days later she had me in surgery right away. She worked on my arm for about an hour digging out the muscle and saving the tangled nerves. She saved my arm and my life. Thank you Dr Young! You saved my life.

Worst NY personality including ice water running t
This doctor has no empathy whatsoever. She blocked my entire arm for a wrist surgery which caused blood to pool about the size of a softball. In her office, without warning she grabbed my wrist and squeezed blood out through the stitches. Of course none came out. I was unable to wear a cast because of the hematoma.

Dr. Young is excellent. I had Dupuytrens Contracture , pinky finger ,40% bent. I requested the procedure with Xiaflex injection vs. surgery. She took the time to read my two page medical report & answered questions. A previous arrogant hand surgeon in Savannah, would not even read the report. I had the procedure done 5 years ago & that Dr., in FL got the finger pretty straight. Well , Dr., Young did two things differently in the procedure then my previous Dr., & the finger is perfectly straight, wow. Good job! I hope the finger stays straight a very long time because DP often comes back & the shots are not pleasant. Thank you Dr. Gene

I am a sculptor and when I first went to Dr Carney Young I had given up hope that I could ever work with metal again. A year after surgery I was back at it, using my (right) hand fully. I forget that I ever had surgery and that there is piece of metal in my wrist. I don't even have a scar to show people! She saved my career. A true artist!

Dr Young was extremely patient and informative regarding both my injury and treatment. She answered all my questions without making me feel like I was keeping her from another patient. Office staff was equally friendly, efficient, and helpful!!
