She is an absolutely awful Doctor. Is unable to connect emotionally with patients and doesn't care about them as individuals, their symptoms, or their family situations. She is indifferent, cold, hands-off, calculating, behind the curve with medical progress, and uses patients for her research without getting their permission. She is frequently insulting and indifferent to a patients symptoms and medical needs.

After my dx with breast cancer, my local oncologist set up a referral to Dr. Blackwell. Our first visit, she was very direct at asking what our goals were in the referral to her. She listened to my husband and I, and ordered several tests which had not been done by my initial oncologist. She has been extremely thorough and understanding of my abundance of questions throughout treatment. I feel blessed to have been referred to her.

Our family found Dr. Blackwell to be condescending and negligent. She won't let you answer questions and when you stop her to ask a question she rolls her eyes. Wait times are absolutely unacceptable +3 hours. Our family left more confused and upset than when we arrived. When you have advanced stage breast cancer a patient needs an oncologist who promotes understanding and a good bedside manner, she does not exhibit these qualities. Very poor people and communication skills.

Wait times exceed 3 hours, Questions are not answered, wrong information given, she forgets to order tests, disorganized and loses your record. She does not inspire confidence or trust. She will not allow you to change oncologists due too many patients requesting a change from her. You will end up going to another facility to escape her.
