I’ve been putting off having a knee replacement for years, but finally Dr. Chillag operated mid-May and I’m thankful he did so because now I’m pain free for the first time in 30 years. He explained everything he was going to do and what I was going to experience...and it all went like clockwork! I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!

Dr. Chillag replaced two knees and a hip in me over a 2 year period. I could not be more pleased with the experiences. Everyone I encountered from scheduling to final post op visits were professional and courteous. Dr. Chillag did not rush my decision to have joint replacements. He examined me, made his recommendations and said I would know when the time was right. And that's exactly how it happened. I was back on the tennis courts after all three surgeries as planned. Dr. Chillag made a huge difference in my quality of life, both on and off the courts. My family and friends, as well as

Four years ago I had two total knee replacements. My knees are nerve damaged and in constant pain. A very sloppy job, cuts every which way. Nasty looking scars. Never saw Chillag or PA after second surgery. Left ICU screaming in pain. Had to find hospital doctor to write a prescription for pain and wait for RX to be delivered. Unbelievable for so called knee guruh in Columbia, SC.

I just finished my second total knee replacement by Dr Chillag and give him the highest marks for surgical expertise and professionalism. Both procedures were successful and pain free after rehab. I highly recommend Dr Chillag.

I’m my experience, with Dr. Chillag, I would say that knee replacement is not as bad an experience as most people believe. If you follow his instructions in preparation and physical therapy afterwards it is not that big of a deal. But, you must have the best and everyone who has been a patient of Dr Chillag, is very satisfied with his care and expertise.

When you have an operation, the quality of the surgeon is one of the most important factors to consider in your recovery. Dr Chillag is an awesome orthopedic surgeon!! People request appointments with him from all over the world!! His talent and ability are famous here in SC. If you are wondering about replacement surgery to relieve joint pain, he’s the expert. My experience was that my pain was gone in a short recovery time and has never returned. I wish I had found this wonderful dr sooner!!

Less than optimal outcome with my TKR. ( Way less ! ) Still struggle daily and waiting on Chillags recommendations for what’s next or referral to a specialist That can make necessary changes for optimal results. I like Chillag and staff but I would not recommend anyone going through what I’ve been through for the past 15 months. I was very active prior to TKR . Now I’m ( not working ) and spend most of my time in pain and in bed.

Dr. Chillag and his staff were attentive and caring during my knee replacement process. It took 4 months to get an appointment; an additional 4 months for the surgery date. He’s worth the wait. I have had no problems in the year after my surgery. Highly recommend!

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Chillag?
The patient had previous joint replacements with another physician, and due to an insurance change we needed to see another physician. Dr. Chillag was rude and seemed to have a chip on his shoulder because we were coming to him now to evaluate a knee and did not have the previous surgeries done with him. The office staff was rude and the patient was in tears before we left his office. I would not advise anyone to see him.
