Cancer survivor with neuropathy
I was referred to Dr. Barker for my neuropathy that I had been living with for 4 years after completion of cancer treatment. With the return back to the office I found myself having difficulties standing for long periods by the middle of the week I would be in a lot of pain. Before Dr. Barker even examined me she told me she would not sign off on my work place accommodations. I was asking for breaks throughout the workday. I’m still an active person and walk several miles a day, but I can’t be on my feet all day. Very disappointing experience for someone that went through cancer in their 30s. I’m not sure if it’s lack of empathy or just poor communication, but I would not recommend Dr. Barker to anyone that’s gone through cancer treatment and have to manage their long term side effects.
