Grateful for your care
I first met Dr Campwala, 2 years ago in Ventura, Ca. He was referred to me by my landlord’s sister. I’m a travel nurse and it’s always good to have a PCP wherever I go for a travel assignment. Dr. Campvala and his team made me feel very welcome and the care that he provided for me was outstanding he’s compassionate he listens and he provides excellent care. I’m no longer Ventura but I just want to say thank you when I return to the area I would definitely be calm his patient again.

I went to Dr. Campwala for a second opinion for my son's head aches. I've always had that mom intuition and he's been to several Dr's and they all send us home with allergy medicine. This time we saw Dr. Campwala and he took the time to listen to my concerns and referred us to a neurologist. He is such a blessing to have such a kind and compassionate Dr. Like him. He does not rush to get you out of his office and he genuinely cares and wants the best for all his patients.

Not impressed at all. Waited 45 minutes for my short appointment with him, sent back to wait 25 minutes to get the lab requisitions without being told why I'm waiting again. I got up and asked why I'm waiting again. Rude aloof staff, Dr. a cold fish. Called and asked if I can come in for a TB test (had been around 2 TB patients) and now have a raspy cough, was never called back after 5 days--obviously they aren't interested--maybe they fear Coronavirus, so will ignore me. The worst staff I've seen in my life. If you want to feel invisible, go here.

Stay away from this doctor. My son was prescribed amoxicillin for strep throat by a different dr , then returned 3 days later for an ear infection. Because our dr wasn't available we were assigned Dr Campwala. He changed my sons antiobitic to azithromycin because "it was stronger" (found out this was incorrect). 2 days later my son broke out in a full body rash. Now we can't pin point which medication it seas. According to urgent care the med should have never been changed. Very upset.

I have mental health issues, and Dr. Campwala decided he should take me off of my psychiatric medications after just one meeting with me. Luckily, my family told me he was an idiot, and the next time I saw my psychiatrist he reported Campwala for negligence. Ending psychotropic meds when just meeting a patient because they seem totally normal is deplorable. Stay away. He should be fired.

Although CMH has its problems there's a shinning star showing brightly in its midst. Dr Campwala is in the habit of listening to his patients. If something is already working for the patient Dr. Campwala won't mess with what's already proven to work for the patient. Kind, gentle and a compassionate listener are just a few of his qualities.
