Does not listen to patient!
This visit left us speechless to say the least. I was completely floored at his lack of ability to hear his patients concerns and issues and to take those into consideration when providing a Diagnosis. Because of this, the patient left feeling ashamed and embarrassed rather than heard and working towards a solution. Also, when reviewing his education and background, the information leads me to believe that this Dr. does not have the experience to be treating complex patients that require more than just checking off boxes to come to a diagnosis. The doctor struggled with being able to think outside of his checklist and look at the patient as a whole And not focus so much on falling within A certain range On test results, but looking at his patient has a human And none of us are the same so checkless really don’t work when you are trying to figure out the pieces of puzzle.

Caution
Would like to leave a rating of zero. Husband was misdiagnosed by the nurse practitioner, twice, he was never seen by the doctor. However, the MD is supposed to review the work of the NP and sign off. A very thorough second opinion done in Indy showed the misdiagnosis very clearly. Office staff is horrible to deal with. I strongly encourage you to go elsewhere.

Won’t Be Back
I was Dr Hammoud’s last patient of the day. Waited for a long time, which is fine and understandable. However, felt VERY rushed throughout my BRIEF appointment. He did not listen to me, and responded to my concerns as though they were invalid. I felt as though I could not ask additional questions that I had prepared to ask. He also did not give very thorough explanation regarding my scans. I left the visit with more questions than I had upon arrival. Completed a sleep study that he ordered. (I was made to feel as though it was unnecessary due to me “not fitting the clinical picture of someone with a sleep disorder”, despite all of the symptoms that I attempted to share with him, but was unheard). My study results do in fact show sleep apnea and hypopnea. I will be seeing another neurologist for follow-up, even if it means driving to Indianapolis.

I really liked Dr Hammoud. I went with my mother to an appt with him. He was very kind and patient with my 83 yr old mother. He was very knowledgeable and did well explaining to her (again, very patiently!) what needed to be done. Follow-up testing was quickly and easily scheduled. He set her on the right path toward healing. We highly recommend him.

Me and my husband so far liked Dr. Hammoud. He has that bedside ethics which is important as well. Since I have several issues parallel going on. 1st of all he listens very carefully. In my case he did look at previous doctors results and MRIs as well. Also he ordered CATscan for me as well. And honestly he spent more time on my problem than my spine doctor. After testing today he diagnosed that I have a carpentunnel problem and need a surgery. Long story short I am satisfied with my doctors attention and professionalism.

Very disappointed. Did not take my MRI *documented* spinal issues seriously, and suggested I just go to therapy. Classic "you're a hysterical woman" dismissal.

Zero would be my rating for this so called Neurologist! LATE always , He can't see past the end of his own nose to help his patients and does not look for a cause only wants to treat a symptom or throwing meds at you just to get you out of his office like your a waste of his time very rude and his nurse Deb can't seem to return voice mails when you leave her one! He is very arrogant, self centered cares more about his looks than his patients.they have a patient portal no one responds to

I have been for Dr. Hammoud on two separate nerve problems and have been very satisfied with him both times. I find him friendly and willing to work with you. I had lyrica the first time and thought it too expensive although it worked, so this time I asked to try gabapentin which is generic. He was quite amenable.

You will not see Dr. Hammoud unless it is for an EMG. His NP sees everyone else. She told me our daughter was fine as far as they were concerned and if she was not interested in taking a pill to treat a symptom, there was nothing they could do to help her. They also could not offer suggestions on where to look next for help with my daughters hands (numbness, tingling, pain and cold). I have never experienced such an unhelpful, flippant response from a doctor's office.
