Dr. Khaled El Jazzar, MD

Heart catheterization scheduled through Dr Shea. When I first spoke with Dr El Jazzar prior to my procedure on July 28, 2022 I believed the procedure would be performed through my wrist and not my groin. He stated he could go through the wrist but prefers the groin. All procedure staff and I believed the wrist procedure would be done. Upon arrival, Dr El Jazzar stated their was a misunderstanding and the groin procedure would be performed. This was against my stated request. After I started to cry upon hearing this, he left and did not speak to me again before or during procedure though I was awake and expected some interaction. After procedure he only stated to my recollection “could not find any blockages except two small plaque spots which is not an issue and things look fine”. Did not have any chance to ask questions before he left. He did not discuss or contact my husband at all who was in waiting room. He received a call from a nurse that procedure was over. Because my condition, presyncope, has been ongoing for over six months with no cause found, the wrist procedure would have a quicker recovery time than the groin. I have been in and out of hospital several times trying to find out what is happening. I believe Dr El Jazzar did not abide by my wishes, mislead me, talked down to me, showed lack of concern, and totals came across as not caring.

Dr El Jazzar is a wonderful doctor. He spends time with you and he listens and gives professional advice. Excellent doctor !!!
