I've been going to Dr. Skelsey for nearly 20 years due to glaucoma. He has performed surgery on my eyes several times for various reasons. He is the BEST. He is very caring and will spend time talking to you and explaining what is going on, and will never rush you. He has saved my eyesight several times and when he thought it best to send me to another specialist, he did not hesitate. He is the kindest doctor I've ever known and I've been around a long time. Dr. Skelsey is very trustworthy, kind, compassionate, and intelligent. You will not go wrong with him as your doctor. He is very knowledgeable of the newest procedures and meds.

A very short and cold visit. I was sent in to see Penny, which felt like talking to a car salesman. Upselling without any real information regarding cost. The administrator (Anita) is unprofessional and incompetent. Their system is chaotic. Finding out what to pay and who to pay, is stressful on top of actually having the surgery. There is now an issue with what was billed to my insurance. Thankfully, I work with people who are versed in the medical game (and it has become a game.) If you are uncomfortable with the quality of care you receive from a doctor or their staff, remember that you are the consumer and should exercise your right to seek better care. If they can't get the administrative aspects right and cannot treat you with respect, do not trust them with your body.

Dr Skelsey is thorough in exam, accurate in diagnosis, answers all questions in as much detail as you care to ask, responds immediately to emergencies. My sight would be greatly impaired if not gone completely without the expertise of this doctor and his caring staff

Seems that this dr is more interested in profit than patient care. Only gave vague, flippant answers to questions regarding cataract surgery. Dismissed my questions or concerns with "you'll have to figure it out". Totally unacceptable.
