Dr. Kevin Shanaghan I, DO

Dr Shanghan has been my primary care doc for over 5 years now. He is attentive, kind, smart, and collaborative in his care of patients. I'm an MD myself and very selecrive about doctors - he's a really good one and I'm grateful top have him.

I am leaving this review frankly because the other negative reviews are so at odds with my experience with Dr Shanaghan. My experience was quite positive. He was a very focused listener and quickly treated my complaints.

He cancelled my surgery based on a couple of brief questions. He overstated my COPD which my pulmonologist had deemed “mild” and called it “exacerbated”. He said I had shortness of breath with no evidence and has caused me great duress. I have been waiting 5 months for this surgery and this doctor who had never met me has perhaps wrecked my Fall semester by not clearing me for surgery—and he did this angrily recalicitrantly and stubbornly with no solid facts or tests to warrant his decision. He refused to look at my record of exercise and was rude to boot I may not even get another chance to have this surgery. And it’s this arrogant DO’s fault. He’s not even an MD

Very rude and a bully!! Treated my mother with no respect! Should not be a doctor anywhere. Why would he even be considered a proper replacements for Dr. Kratz.

He Is very arrogant. He didn't care for my problem appropriately and It was like pulling teeth to get him to order an X-ray for a degenerative problem I am having. I received a few several insulting remarks In my one and only 5 minute visit with him. He Shouldn't be a Dr. He displayed no compassion for others. I absolutely will never recommend him and will be sure to never allow my kids to see him and won't return to him.

Misdiagnosed my infant son when he had CSV and was not happy with the lack of urgency in addressing my wife's thyroid issues.
