PATIENTS BEWARE OF BAD SURGEON
Regret ever trusting this supposed surgeon. DO NOT trust his surgical skills if you want to live a normal life again. He failed to repair my knee with a full knee replacement and post surgery care was a horrible experience too. His staff and their Orthopedic Department personnel outright lied on numerous occasions. Experienced rude comments like his referral's nurse responded that everyone here is in pain to me. Best advice if you've experienced the same is REPORT HIM TO KY BOARD OF MEDICAL LICENSURE as I did.

Hate to give even one star!
The absolute worst experience! Post surgery, I said the pain is still fresh and not getting better, his reply was 'What do you want me to do about it?' My knee was sewn so crooked, it is awful once healed. The pain is still being treated by another doctor, 3 years post.

The worst post surgery experience of my life. Dr Himschoot after surgery support was nonexistent. From day three after my knee replacement I had extreme foot pain… Every post surgery visit I expressed the extreme foot pain is constant even when I was trying to sleep. Time and time I expressed it is affecting my physical therapy which cased me to have a knee manipulation. At the hospital right before my knee manipulation was the first time since my knee replacement I had seen Dr Himschoot and told him something is wrong with my foot and just brushed it off to the knee not being stretched far enough in PT. I continued to express in every post visit and even sent a MyChat message (which was never answered) to Dr Himschoot expressing the extreme pain in my foot. Then came my last office visit with Dr Himschoot PA Erin Gish who walked the room with great arrogance and flextime my toes towards my body and I thought I was going to loose my mind the pain was so server and she said oh that’s not the knee it’s your back causing that pain. In December 2023 sent me for MRI of my back. The Dr and PT would never call to give me the results of my MRI. Now for the office staff, I have never talked to more of the rudeness and incompetence people in my life… The office manager is nice ask can be talked to her two or three time over my 4 months of pure misery. It was not until March 2024 before I received my MRI results and there where only mild issues with my back. April 2 I finally found out that my foot pain is caused by my Tibial nerve damage that was caused by the device that was placed above my knee to stop blood flow for the knee replacement. The nerve could get in a year or two or may never be better. I now have constant pain to my foot that affects my ability to walk at all and the pain is constant and at times unbelievably painful. My life has been changed forever and not for the better.

Absolutely a blessing from God!
It took me years to finally go see a surgeon. I hadn't been mobile for 2 years. I cottons barely walk. When I met this Doctor he was so understanding and easy to talk with. He made me feel so comfortable and at ease with the hip replacement. Within 2 months He replaced both my hips. I no longer have mobility issues. The surgeries went better than I ever thought they could. His staff is amazing. These people genuinely care about their patients. They are truly a blessing from God. I can never put into words what this Dr and his staff done for me. That gave me my life back. Thank you so much.

I had an emergency hip replacement following a hip fracture at home. Dr Himschoot is well qualified. I was pleased that he is up to date on the very latest surgical hip replacement techniques. I had a very successful recovery with minimal discomfort.

I was referred to Dr Himschoot by another physician because of his experience in Total Knee Replacement Revisions. He performed my surgery a few days ago and I can’t emphasize enough on this doctor’s bedside manner and explanations. I felt very at ease with Dr H and he really took an active part in my recovery. Knowing that he took my concerns to heart, he reassured me that he’d get me through the entire process of getting me active again. I’m very impressed with this young doctor and would recommend him highly.
