Dr. Kevin Helling, MD

Dr Helling is thorough, compassionate, knowledgeable and has time and time again answered any questions or concerns I have had. I am currently hospitalized and not under his service but had a question for him. He took the time to come and talk to me to ease my worry. He has an exceptional bedside manner and I felt like he took time to answer questions that the other doctors I have seen did not. If I or my family were to need any type of general surgery in the future we would go nowhere else.

This is a formal complaint about Dr Helling and his nurse Megan in Casper Wyoming at Precision Surgical. Dr Helling and his nurse both lied to me and said he could get me in to have my 4 hernias repaired before the end of the year. I specifically asked twice before agreeing to the 2nd appointment, to make sure that I could still get in for surgery before 2025. Megan said yes. Now, they say they can not do the surgery before the end of the year. I have met my deductible finally and now I will have to pay out of pocket for the surgery. I told Dr Helling that my hernias were worse and they were making me sick. This is not ok. I had other appointments with other doctors that could get me in and I canceled because I preferred to see Dr Helling because of a referral from a nurse friend. I took Dr Helling on his word. I wouldn't have made a second appointment if they couldn't get me in for the surgery before 2025. I feel like they were just trying to make money off my insurance.

I have been seeing Dr. Helling for almost 2 years and I have finally had enough ! The Doc himself is respectful and polite . The rest of his staff IS NOT. His PA and nurses will treat you like dirt ! I am now on track with the University of Utah and they are great ! Think twice before wasting your time with these folks. There is no excuse for the way they treat their patients.

All the staff I encountered were amazing. The receptionist was so nice and the NP, Michelle went so far above and beyond, she listened to everything, took me seriously, and was so personable and sympathetic. Dr. Helling performed my surgery and checked on me multiple times throughout my stay in the hospital. Him and his team are truly amazing.

Dr. Helling is the real deal. He saved my life and for that I am eternally grateful. He is nothing short of brilliant, both cognitively and in the operating room. I am so glad he opened his own practice. He is genuine, compassionate, and willing to do whatever it takes for any/all of his patients. If you need general surgery or weight loss surgery, run (if you can), don’t walk to seek treatment from him - he is truly the best general and bariatric surgeon around.

Potential patient's of Dr. Helling must lend zero clout to the vapid review left by the disgruntled patient who encourages individuals to leave the state - how utterly senseless. Dr. Helling is a gift not only to the city of Casper, but also to the great state of Wyoming, and the neighboring states who border it. Seldom if ever do we as Wyomingites have the opportunity to seek care from health care professionals with Dr. Helling’s: skillset, pedigree, level of empathy and compassion, bedside manner, and willingness to go the extra mile. He is an incredible advocate, surgeon, and human being, and I would fly family from across the country to be cared for by this phenomenal physician.

Amazing! This surgery saved my life. I can’t recommend this program enough! If I hadn’t lost weight I don’t know where I’d be today.

Don't come here if you ever expect to have your surgery. They will put you off and off until you give up after you've spent money. You never speak to the doctor it's always the "nurses". He's the only one in this whole town who does his gastric bypass surgery but they don't tell you that until after you are in too deep to get out. GO OUT OF. STATE!!!
