Helped save my life!
Dr. GK is amazing! I went through over a year's worth of ECT treatments with him and he was kind, caring, compassionate, and had a great sense of humor. I felt so good under his care. Thanks to him, my regular psychiatrist, and therapist I am back working and almost completely back to who I used to be before all of the hospitalizations. So grateful for all his help, and expertise!

Dr. G.K. is both a blessing and a curse. He pushes ECT and twelve-step recovery like an evangelist. He doesn't seem to understand how traumatic ECT can be. He thinks we are all addicts if we use medical cannabis, have any form of alcohol, or use benzos. He has pushed 12-steps on me even though I have no abuse issues. He makes you feel guilty if you want to use ketamine with ECT which has a lot of research and is now FDA approved. He pushes needing psychotherapy even if you have done years of it. If therapy was enough we wouldn't need ECT. He tries to sound objective but it ends up being about his personal views (12step groups like Alcoholics Anonymous for any kind of emotional disorder) and that we all need psychotherapy except that he also believes ECT is the answer. Very confusing. He comes off as very kind and I don't doubt he is, but he kinda makes you feel more sick than you really are. I dunno, I'm sure he saves lives, but he also can make you feel worse.
