Extremely disappointed
My injury occurred in March 2019. I saw Dr. Franzese 9 months after my brain injury because i wasn’t getting any better and had such weird symptoms for a concussion. He completely dismissed me. He said I lived too far away to receive treatment in Pitts, I live in Cleveland, and he told me with absolute confidence that I was going to be fine.I told him that I had become extremely suicidal after my injury and that I had aborted a suicide attempt, and at the time I saw him I didn’t have a psychiatrist. He told me I needed a psychiatrist yesterday. His parting directions was for me to message him when I found a psychiatrist so he knew I was okay.In November 2024 I finally found a psychiatrist who listened to all my symptoms. I have a frontal lobe brain contusion. I will never get better. Dr. Franzese had no interest in treating me (37F). He was so wrong and led me down a path thinking I had a simple concussion that I was going to get better from. It’s maddening. I’m livid.
