He has really helped me with complicated BPH
Dr Fitzgerald is very effcient and gets to the point. He is not chatty, but I appreciate his skills. When I felt very worried and vulnerable,, he was very responsive and I will always remember his kindness and abilities.

Great Doc
Dr Fitzgerald performed robotic surgery for removal of a cancerous diverticulum yesterday (April 9, 2025). He is highly skilled and thorough. The surgery was smooth with minimal postoperative pain. I’m being discharged with only one night on the hospital. Dr Fitzgerald is an excellent surgeon that I highly recommend for urinary issues.

Great practice - other docs are amazing and staff are wonderful. Run far away from Fitzgerald though! Has a habit of giving incorrect grim prognosis based on his internet searches vs actual practice. Does not call when requested, bases treatment decisions off notes and not physical exam.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Fitzgerald for over 5 years and I continue to be amazed at his lack of professionalism, courtesy and respect for his patients. He does not listen to patients concerns or review medical history and lab results in any great detail. A typical once a year visit to get prescriptions renewed will take no more than 10 minutes-most of which is Dr. F chastising me for not arriving early, having an insurance company that requires pre-authorization for script renewals or some other intrusion that disrupts his day. He rarely will make eye contact with you as he spends most of the time looking at his computer screen. He has little to no interest in your overall well being and health and lacks any general social etiquette. Do not attempt to make any small talk or get to know him better-he will rudely stop you and tell you he has no interest in having any conversation with you as it is “a waste of his time”. The staff is just the opposite; cordial, friendly, very helpful and professional.

Started out with Dr. Steven Flashner ( great dr.) then was switched to Dr. Albert Ruenes (great Dr.) then switched to dr Roland ( not so good) very rude, and very snippy! l was switched to Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald. I developed a kidney stone and was hospitalized where dr Fitzgerald surgically removed it. Unfortunately in the days that followed l came down with uro-sepsis ( a sometime fatal infection) 105 degree temperature for almost 5 days! Luckily an infectious disease dr. Saved my life with an antibiotic cocktail. Certainly l cannot accuse dr Fitzgerald but to this day I don’t know how I came down with Sepsis. The last time I went to see him, he literally dismissed me and said don’t bother to make any more appointments with him unless you are having issues. NO THANKS! I believe l should have looked at most of the unfavorable reviews he’s gotten and chalked him off. Do your research and put your trust and health in someone that is more caring.

Uncaring person
Dr. Fitzgerald, rushed me through an exam for his benefit to get me out of the office. He could not have the time to answer any questions or concerns. I did not go in because I had a cold. It was a series matter. I do not recommend see him.

Doylestown Health Urology is not patient centric
My appointment time was changed from 4:15 PM to 3:30 PM but I was NOT notified. When I arrived at 4:00 PM for my 4:15 PM appointment I was turned away. I was then told to make a new appointment. The admin staff and the doctors have lost any sense of responsibility to patients. They have no concern for patients. Avoid any medical practice affiliated with Doylestown Hospital.

I sat in via phone for an emergency visit for my father. I could not believe my ears when Dr. Fitzgerald told my father he was too busy and did not have time to listen to him, or to weed out the details of his recent medical and surgical issues, and that he had to make a decision as to whether he wanted treatment via a prescribed medication or surgery. When I told my parents that we would find another doctor that had time for them Dr. Fitzgerald told my mother to hang up on me. When my parents asked for the name of another urologist for a second opinion at a large medical center he responded that that hospital system was in total chaos and would not make recommendations. I question who is really in a state of chaos. I only wish I could give him zero stars.

Dr. Fitzgerald has treated me a few times for kidney stones. He's not warm and fuzzy, more clinical, but I was an ICU nurse and know how to manage that kind of doc. I arrived 10 min. early for today's appt. It took the office staff more than 15 minutes to get me into the room. They asked me to please hurry up and fill out this form, quickly please, we're running late, do it as fast as you can. When I finally saw Fitzgerald he was in a miserable mood. I apparently had made him late, everything was running late, he's late! Like he was a medical Mad Hatter. My needs took all of 2 minutes, but he acted as if I had ruined his whole day. His staff must be scared to death if he isn't running precisely on time, and if so I clearly felt it. I explained to them that I had arrived early but that all I heard, basically, was "Hurry up! Quick! Hurry, please!" I would NOT recommend this physician unless you, yourself, can control whether you'll be allowed to see him ON TIME.
