Horrible treatment as a patient and experience
Dr. Colburn is the most dismissive, unsympathetic, condescending doctor I’ve ever encountered. He wouldn’t let me tell the background as to why we were there and came off very judgmental. We had gone through a traumatic experience that brought us there to begin with and he showed no compassion or bedside manner. Basically told me he would run the tests I wanted to prove me wrong and that he was right and would televisit in 3 months. Horrible experience and honestly, although I’m sure he’s very intelligent, as he is a neurologist, he is in the wrong field having to interact with humans.

No bedside manners
Dr. Colburn did not introduce himself when he walked in the room. I explained why I was there and he was very dismissive. He would ask a question but did not allow me to complete my sentence. I read the ER notes off my phone and he looked at it, practically accusing me of seeing something that was not there. When I pointed to the sentence he realized I was right. He dismissed my concerns regarding the first time I had discovered a congenital issue. He presented himself as cranky and uptight. Not empathetic at all. His solutions were thrown around like a ‘take it or leave it’. Not a great experience.

Appalling treatment of people who need compassion
Dr Colburn was doing an assessment for dementia and during the exam, he scolded, mocked and reprimanded my aunt for not following the instructions as he asked. He was aggressive and completely unsympathetic to an 80 year old woman who was hearing for the first time she might have cognitive issues. Dr Colburn's staff also mentioned we were not the first family to experience this treatment. He's in the wrong specialty.
