Recommend this doctor
Both my husband and myself have seen Dr. Byrne for 10 years. I realize most people only complain about what they perceive as bad service and if you’re very satisfied with your service you may not say anything. Well, we highly recommend Dr Byrne for his detailed explanation of services and excellent care.

Horrible Experience
Horrendous experience. Had procedure done to rule out a specific illness and biopsies were not done for that. He stated that the esophagus looked normal but studies show up to 20% of people have normal looking esophagus and it should still be biopsied. Therefore, this doctor doesn’t keep up to date on current guidelines. Very unfortunate as this affects other patients looking for help and answers. Was also supposed to get pre-procedure meds for a medical condition. My specialist sent protocol to Dr. Byrne’s office and I was not given the meds. I am now very sick.I feel blown off and like he was rushed and did not care.

Liver
It was very good. After a mix up in my appointment, the office staff were kind enough to work it out for me to see Dr Byrne, and he was kind enough to squeeze me in. He talked with me about what my blood tests showed and explained what was going on with my liver. I appreciate any doctor that will take the time to talk with me and listen to what I have to say.

Did not know history or ask. Became extremely ill, MS/fibro pain all of the night before, the usual diarrhea starting 3:30AM, continuing until late afternoon, no sleep, shaky, sweating, weak, exhaustion. Desperate, near collapse. New Year’s Eve, he was not in the office, no advice from nurse. Two days after I called, he sent letter saying he was dumping me. Clinical depression made this a trying ordeal. His report incorrect or untrue. Self-medicating, hanging on. Looking for competent physician.

Spent very little time with patient, did not answer patient’s questions, not prepared for appointment, had not reviewed patient’s prior tests, initially scheduled test that was questionable considering patient’s recent symptoms, hard to get an appointment even after recent ER visit, did not collaborate with patient’s ER doctors or other specialist, ER doctors seemed to question lack of tests by Dr Byrnes. Will not return!

Instead of listening, he tells you what he wants to hear. Runs pts through, Hit and Run Medicine. He steps into the exam room but then is moving toward the door. My symptoms terrify me but he didn't want to hear and left. He took my head off for following his instructions. Lots of sighing and tone said I am stupid, should have decided for myself. All he does is write prescriptions. He's the only ge specialist in this area, so no choices. I can't travel to another city so not sure what to do

Dr Byrne and his staff caring, kind, and patient. Aside from the wonderful conversations to relax me that I had, the gentle manner of Dr Byrne allows me to know that I'm being cared for properly. I have Crohn's disease and diverticulitis. I have been with Dr Byrne for several years now and for the first time in 44 years I'm actually starting to do better with both of those. Maya tribute all of that to Dr Byrne and his staff whether it's at the office, the Imaging Center, or even the hospital.
