Conveyer belt
Felt that annual testing (every year same normal tests) was not needed. Went ahead with second opinion and was reassured that this was not necessary. The wait times are unacceptable and was confidentially told by his medical help that he likes to talk on the phone with others often about personal matters. Not professional!

Almost killed me
He looked at my echo after having a heart attack at 24, told me I was fine. Luckily I got a second opinion and was rushed into surgery to save me after months of severe heart failure. The time lost going to Dr. Boran has caused irreversible damage.

Poor Unfriendly, his nurse rude. He puts you through a lot of expensive tests. Diagnosis was I needed a transplant, and told me to get on the list in SF. Dr. at transplant office told me I didn’t need to be there after an exam. Second opinion from a cardiologist diagnosed a torn mitral valve. Repaired by top surgeon. My experience with this doctor was poor. I’m glad I was redirected to a top cardiologist and surgeon. Doing well.

I have been with Dr Boran over 7 years, and I do trust in his ability. But the wait time is just unacceptable and the office management is not effective overall. Its a shame I have to seek another doctor.

Dr Boran has been my husband, Gary's dr for over 13 years. Our deepest thanks for keeping Gary alive. He takes the time to listen and is a very compassionate, competent dr. I have heard negative people say their wait time is too long. He is a busy dr and you have no idea what may be happening with other patients being treated before you. When I was in office, and I heard people talk about the long wait, I would tell them a good dr is well worth the wait. It is very hard on patients who have trouble sitting for long periods with bad backs or other health issues but his staff does make you as comfortable as possible.

I really did not think it was possible to have a worse experience with this doctor and his staff. I was very wrong!!!! It is laughable that this web page says he is excepting new patients when he is so obliviously overbooked already! My mom’s appointments take between 3-4 hours per visit and because she can no longer drive I’m subjected to his rude disregard for my time. To make things even worse......due to Covid-19 I’m reduced to waiting in a parking lot on a bench in 100 degree weather without access to even a restroom. I have been with my mother to other doctors offices which do not exile me from a waiting room. Also, because my mom is getting up there in age , she does not understand everything that she is told about her tests and results. I don’t have any idea what went on with my mom’s appointment yesterday because I am no longer allowed to be by her side and advocate for her at Boran’s office. I’m working hard to talk my mom into a new cardiologist.

He is a very competent doctor but overbooks all appointments creating extremely long wait times. i have seen elderly patients wait 3-4 hours for what seems to be a 3-4 minute consult. The staff is not very friendly probably due to the overbooking. You can rarely talk to a staff member to get any answers if you call in. The doctor seems to have the same recommendations(cocktails) for a majority of his patients. With some extreme changes i would recommend this doctor.

I've been a patient of Dr. Boran's for 13 years. The first time I saw him I knew I was in good hand. I have 3 files as they can't fit everything into one. He was my second opinion dr. He promised to stay with me to figure out what was going on. Unlike all the other who wanted to put a band-aide on me or pass me on to another specialist. It's true that Dr. Boran can have a long wait time. I once waited twice as long as other reviewers but was given the option to be seen the next day as he had a patient with emergency surgery. When I moved to Las Vegas, I came back to have Dr Boran replace my pacemaker. Now that I'm back in CA I chose to see Dr. Boran again. His bedside manner is excellent and he lets you say what you need or want. He does not rush just to get you in and out. His staff is always cherry and helpful. It's what I want from my Dr.

have been seeing Dr Boran for 5 years. Absolutely one of the best doctors anywhere, glad he is in Fresno. Very good "bed-side manors". Because he is good he is in great demand and therefore the wait time (particularly in the late afternoon) can be ridiculous. Once you see him, he does not rush you, will answer your questions and explain things two or three times. If you have a serious cardiac issue and you know,... want to live, you should be happy to see him.

This is a very poorly managed office, which is a direct reflection on Dr. Boran. The wait time is beyond ridiculous. You can never speak to anyone about a concern, you must leave a message which is rarely returned. Dr. Boran is over booking and as a result is not giving quality patient care. He also dictates during patient appointment time which then leaves little time for patient interaction.

Dr. Boran is an Excellent Doctor, he truly cares about his patients, yes, he is always busy & it is a wait, but he is Most Definitely Worth waiting for, under his care my dad was with us an additional 7 years. The Staff here is INCREDIBLE & WELCOMING, even though the staff is always so busy, they make you feel Appreciated as a patient. Yesenia, Jazmin & Angelica always go Above & Beyond. If you need a cardiologist, Dr. Boran is your Best Choice, plus the Staff is AWESOME. Thank you, Abel Mireles

Years ago, I was taking my mother to appointments with Dr Boran. The waiting room was over crowded. He was over-booked. He had performed several heart procedures on her. I have been skeptical as to their success. Now she is gone and I'm still angry about one of our last visits with Dr Boran. We were there for the appointment time. He kept us waiting for 2 hours. Once we were placed into a exam room, I heard Dr Boran laughing it up on the phone how he and his son attended a football game

I just do not know what to do. The waiting is getting very old. This is my 2nd appointment. The first one I had to leave after 3 hours of waiting. Now I’ve been here for 2 hours and I’m getting ready to leave.

After seeing Dr. Boran for many years, I finally changed cardiologists. The office wait can be from 1 to 3 hours, sometimes the test results and not filed on time and his office tries to set up too many appointments in a day.

I don’t at all doubt Dr. Boran’s ability as a cardiologist; After having annual exams at his offices for over a decade, I’ve finally had enough of the waiting, as if my time wasn’t valuable. It’s almost 1345 right now. I, and about another half dozen patients, had 1300 appointments. He’s not even in the office yet. Unbelievable!

Although waiting time is long, he is a great Dr. who is knowledgeable of what he is doing. He has extended my life because of this. His staff works well together to make your visit as relaxing and informative as possible. Some patients do not realize that amount of time waiting is because another patient is having troubles and the Dr. is treating that patient until he is safe. One always has the option of rescheduling if needed. It's your life, are you worth the wait?
